Final Fantasy VIII was the closest they got to actually being a very human Final Fantasy. It took place in Garden which is very similar to our type of schools, going there to learn and whatnot. And the characters also had very unique and distinct personalities. You had the group of bullies, Seifer, Raijin, Fujin, The smarty, Quistis, the energetic friends, Zell and Selphie, and Squall who was a loner till he met Rinoa. It was really the greatest emotional Final Fantasy game and had the perfect musical score to compliment the atmosphere.
