I don't like the idea of pre-ordering maps I haven't yet seen. It seems pretty idiotic to me. If it's a good map pack, I'll probably buy it. I like Battlefield 3 and don't mind paying extra to add to the experience. If I don't like what I see from a certain map pack, however, I'll probably pass on it. I shouldn't be penalized simply for being smart with my money.
This is purely hypothetical, mind you. Nothing like this has popped up yet. Just saying that I can see this being abused a bit down the road.
if they had even gave a proper deal/discount with buying Premium VS buying them separately, i may of even picked premium up, but all your paying for is early access and double xp weeks(hopefully no weapons), complete bs
if they start giving exclusive weapons or "perks" to premium members youll see a big drop in people playing bf3.
EA are a crowd of wankers
Do your research before you post stupid comments
I am still paying for the content that I want. All this is is a service that asks for the money up front. Is it too much to ask to know about what I am paying for before they already have my cash, and not expect to be penalized for it?
As I said, I don't mind how they are handling it right now. If it starts getting to the point where they basically want to turn the Battlefield series into a $120 release without knowing what is coming with that extra $60, well, that's idiotic in my opinion. Especially if they start really penalizing players who don't go along with this sort of service.
It's not whining, mind you. There is a difference between stating concerns about something and whining. Again, it's me being smart about what I do with my cash. I don't view blindly spending decent chunks of cash on a product I know little to nothing about.
The pre-ordering the maps for people like me comes down to 2 things. Trust in the developer, and the fact that I wouldn't really know if I like the maps till I play them anyway, which means I'd still have to buy them.
Hope I get new weapons to rub in your face.

I am up for supporting developers that provide me worthwhile experiences. I am not dumb enough to give them money on blind faith. Apparently some are.
It's trust and so far they've never let us down so I have faith that the maps will be amassing
And if COD were to do this I wouldn't trust them because there maps are crap at its best
Well no new tags, same guns as last time get new skins-big let down-, no new weapon.
on the next soldier upgrade i'll be seriously pissed if its the same 4 guns again with camo, no new weapon, or no new tags.
The next one is Armored Kill, this is when you will see the real new content.
