MMGN.com blogger speaks about the new RE6 demo, and asks whether all demos should be considered representative of the final product.
(PC, PS3, Resident Evil 6, Xbox 360)
you seem to be confused. =D how can you not like the game if you have never played it? couse you cant tell me that the first room you start in is so difficult that you cant go on... and no there are no lvls, but i havent played many action games that have such a thing as lvls. at least not like a plattformer or a rpg where you lvl up. i dont really get what you are asking to be honest =D
@mt To make his comment more understandable. He likes the idea but not the execution.
In that respect you can do both. There are going to be those who enjoy all aspects of a game series and then there will be those who like only certain aspects.
Neither side is right or wrong as it is simply just a matter of personal taste. Like BkaY and his wanting to like the halo games. To many they represent a good story line in games that have been few and far between.
That isnt to say that simply because of liking the story that the actual gameplay is equally as likeable. We have seen many people express their distaste for how the halo games flow. I personally enjoy the play mechanics as well as the story.
Im not much of a multiplayer person but i will play multiplayer matches when im inclined to. To me its isnt the most important part of a modern game unlike others who only look at the multiplayer as a reference point to overall quality.
The resident evil series has many games that appeal differently to people.
I feel the same, the only RE game I've ever completed was the first one, I too respect what the games try to do only I actually thought RE5 was awful compared to the others.
I'm sometimes dumbfounded as to how some users can disagree with a certain comment of mine that seemed undisagreeable. What's worse, I'll never learn why they disagreed, so I'm just left permanently curious.
I dont want to play the demo it looks aweful and plays aweful and this game is a very weak TPS. Japs should stick to what they used to do best.
No occidental developer tries to make JRPG like games because they would just not be able to make it so i think everyone should stick to what they can do and stop blindly copying the others.
I'm talking about those who know what RE really is.
@strauser360... nicely played. even better was the response to his critique of it being "crap": "I dont want to play the demo it looks aweful and plays aweful and this game is a very weak TPS. Japs should stick to what they used to do best. "
Ignorance is bliss I suppose but @abzidine definitely wins the face palming response of the day on N4G.
Let's make a statistic: For those who are boycotting this thing agree with this post, which means that those who disagree love what they are seeing and in case of disagreement i'd like them to post WHY cause i'm maybe missing something.
The people that love what RE6 is shaping up to be never played the originals and if they DID play the originals then they were never much of a fan anyways.
By now people should know the RE franchise isnt going back to its roots as long as it has a number in its name. People who complain about this is just looking for something to bitchh about. RE6 is no way a bad game based off the demo. If you base your opinion from someone elses thats sad i think. Dont spend 64 on the game go rent it, and if you like it buy it if not dont. And let that be the end of it.
Actually I feel the contrary, it seems they're trying to please everyone with multiple story lines, Leon has a very root based game, Chris has a more action packed game like the more recent games, and Jake basically has over the top and epic.
It looks like Capcom is trying to recreate that sense of fear in Leon's part of the game but for some reason the whole time i was watching that i was not scared or get that feeling of tension at all.
Maybe Capcom is trying too hard & missing the mark or it is cause that 'magic' is no longer there to begin with.
You know. Hating on Capcom is one thing. BUt telling people their demo of a very anticipated game is awful? Seriously people can judge for themselves as its a DEMO which is the purpose of sampling of whats to come. AND EVEN THEN demos come with a warning stating "the demo doesnt necessary reflect the final product etc"
Yes, but that little disclaimer usually means a little more shading or minor tweaking will be done to final product. It does not mean the whole level design, mechanics and story will be redone.
I can see where he is coming from, but he did state that if the full game is like the demo a been their and done it affair countless times is it worth getting ???? Reminds me when you see a trailer to a film and you watch the film and think fucking hell i should of just stuck to the trailer because it showed all the best bits :)
True, but on the flip side how many times have you skipped a movie thinking "meh" because of a poor trailer only to be pleasantly surprised by how good it was? I personally have done both...not hear to say RE6 is a master piece but in the same breath I am willing to wait on my judgement until the full proper game is released. And lets be honest..the "been there done that before" tag can be thrown at countless games across many genres that we love from the racing genre, shooters of all types...RPG's.
never going to buy a capcom game again never unless the cirumstances change i will not buy a capcom game i bought dead rising 2 it was good it really was just two issues one the zombrex and the time limit to escape there is an unbroken rule in openworld games and that is not to put a time limit on fun it is not fun, and i hope that you can move and shoot at the same time cause if your cannot do even that in the game ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff do not trust capcom anymore and i only bought one of their games i feel sorry for all those people who bought all of them then plus that towards dlc
really lets see if our definitions line up.
I dunno I always though resident evil was bad ass like a hidden respect for it.
but the sad truth for me is that i cant ever get past the first room or two. I just dont like the games.
I can admit that i have tried countless times to play all of the re games but i cant seem to enjoy them
but i still think they're bad ass
can someone explain to me what im doing wrong when it comes to re games.
I love the whole concept but i cant get through a single level, in fact i dont even know if they have levels.
Do they have levels?
know what i mean?
I cant get through them, they dont flow for me.
so i cant seem to get through them.
but i like them i think theyre well made and top notch entertainment.
difficult to explain really.
i really understand what you mean...
for me RE series is one of the best series .... i dont care if they change the direction to cater for new players.. but RE2 n RE4 all times fav..
peace
"I like the game I just dont like the game.
know what i mean? "
dude you like it and you don't, and do I know what you mean ????
I'll have what you are smoking, please.

Jesus, this community is fucked.
Seriously, if you state an opinion on this site, people will disagree and complain/insult you.
peace
But oh well. I will judge it for myself when I get to.
http://objection.mrdictiona...
or do you object because you played it too?
... "Preview", not "previous". Not even close on having the same meaning...

RE6 is trash compared to the PS1/Gamecube games.
@MD.. agree but i loved all RE games and yes RE5 as well. i plat it..
have you played RE6.. (honest question)
i am not talking about the demo crap.. whole game..
peace
theres just truly nothing "game changing" about it.
but I will redbox it when it comes out
I haven't played the demo yet but from what I've seen, it looks like a generic action title and we all know younger gamers LOVE generic action titles.
Going to pass on this one.

Again, they gave up on Horror, because they lost the touch.
thx saved me 60 bucks for ni no kuni
