Sony on costume cross-platform compatibility in Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony’s Phil Lynch comments on the possibility of cross-platform compatibility for the pre-order costumes in the upcoming Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale.

I wonder if.... when Sackboy is announced for the game... will your costume and DLC costumes also be available to use in game?

Nope. Maybe if the game was using the same engine. (Which it's obviously not)

If Sackboy is in this, his model and textures will be made from scratch so LBP items wouldnt even be compatible.

I'm sure he'll have some awesome costumes anyway.

Honestly I hope Sackboy works like Kirby, and you pull powers from other fighters, which cause you to put on costumes of said character.

Of course he's going to be in it, Sackboy is Sony's Mario these days. He gets his own Kart Racer and it makes sense for him to be in the Smash Brother's esq game as well.

The question is whether he is able to be a unique fighter of his own. They already have LBP represented in the game. I'm sure he can appear on other levels or maybe items. I myself just can't see him as a playable fighter, however I've thought the same for other already confirmed characters. So it is possible, but I doubt it myself. We'll have to see though. It would be nice. The more characters the better. :)

Jak, Ratchet, and Cole Mcgrath should be in the game hopefully.

Voice actors have confirmed Jak and Cole, Ratchet is all but confirmed as well. They also have Hayter working on it, which all but confirms Snake will be in it as well.

Still waiting for Crash and Spyro though.....
