PSU writes: "In a presentation given at EVO 2012 moments ago, SuperBot Entertainment revealed two new fighters who will appear in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale: Toro Inoue and Heihachi Mishima."
Update The story has been updated with character trailers for each new fighter.
Totally True, they're playing too safe with known characters, but not the best characters, Cloud, Sephirot, Solid or Big Boss, Lara, Kazuma, Crash, Ratchet, Jak, RE Characters and I can keep going...
As much as id love to have all of those characters in the game, i think the game needs more variety. Having Snake, RE characters, or Lara kinda clash with Nathan Drake and they game has enough gun touting charaters.
What would be great is if they let you be the Hunter from RE1, or Tyrant or even a zombie, or even the Jumping Flash rabbit.
He's the head of the Mishima clan, creator of the Mishima-ryu Karate (the only fight style claimed to be original in the game), creator and former head of the Mishima Zaibatsu (the obscure corporation that organizes the Iron Fist Tournament) and is either an ally or enemy of most other characters.
I too don't love Heihachi but he was the logical choice.
So thats why they announced the tekken guy there... no idea why the cat, but it explains him
Don't worry, next week they are announcing 2 more characters at Comic con
:D
But that's just me.

His moves looked kinda meh except his level 3 super which is just silly. Btw, since when did level 3 supers automatically kill everyone? All the other ones I've seen had something happen to the stage or the character and everyone ends up dieing anyway, but kinda disappointed it's auotmatic with these two.
Oh well, still looking forward to it as I've wanted to play Brawl for a long time but never bought a Wii for just one game
They need a health mode where normal attacks do damage.
I know I was saying this in another article, having a fighting character in a fighting game is a waste of a character....maybe as DLC but not for the main line up
I'm pretty sure the stock mode is still special kills only, not that it matters to me.
1. where is my hero Crash Bandicoot?
2. where is the legendary Spyro?
3. why is big daddy in this game when Bioshock released on xbox years first?
4. why fat princess? that game was Nothing special let alone legendary
5. since fat princess made the cut. will Croc? because that game is legendary
3. Guess he fits the gameplay?
4. Recognizable character
5. Too old to bring back?
wtf its suppose to be a PS celebration
I played Croc like crazy on Ps1
2. Activision owns Spyro so Sony needs their permission.
3.Bioshock was only on the 360 first because it took longer for the developers at 2K to learn the PS3 architecture since it came out a year later than the 360. Also Micro$oft most likely had a time exclusive deal. Also Sony most likely including Big Daddy because they will be advertising Bioshock Infinite the same way Micro$oft does with COD. Big Daddy is one of the more iconic characters coming out of the current generation systems.
4.Fat Princess is including because Sony can put whatever 1st party character they want also it is the main character of one of Sony's best selling PSN titles so they needed a character to represent the PSN platform the Same way Parappa=PS1, Kratos=PS2, Drake=PS3.
5.As for Croc I am not to sure because he has not been seen in a while either 20th Century Fox owns him or Vivendi(aka Activision). Including Croc would be awesome though.
i get the points for 1 and 2
3 is still just terrible IMO
bioshock is an xbox franchise really
4 makes sense when you bring sony SM into it
a) it's multiplat
b) BioShock1 has exclusive PS3 DLC
c) BioShock1 has exclusive PS3 extra difficulty
d) BioShock Infinite has exclusive Move support
e) BioShock Infinite PS3 will come with an exclusive free copy of BioShock1
f) BigDaddy is now in PS All Stars, a PS3 exclusive
If that's an XBox franchise, I'd hate to see the other guy.
3) Remember e3 2011? Irrational is now working closely with sony on Bioshock infinite, thus that explains big daddy
4) Superbot is a subsidiary of Santa Monica, who also published Fat Princess... thus it was close to home, so they put her in
5) No clue
If anything Bioshock is a PlayStation franchise given that the PS Vita is getting an exclusive Bioshock game. Also the PS3 version of Bioshock Infinite is receiving Bioshock 1 on disc, 3D and Move support exclusively.
I'm pretty sure Crash and Spyro will be in the game since they're some of the top requested characters for PSASBR. I played Croc 1 and 2 as a kid and would love to see him in this game, I don't see it happening though.

Sir Dan is to awesome to be left out.
I need more games like Smash Bros cause it's one of the best games to play with friends and having Sony characters with 3rd party, gangsta.
Try me.
Sony reveals more characters.
"Why characters I personally didn't want, Sony?"
People notice a two-at-a-time approach at various events.
"Why not reveal them all at once, Sony?"
There will always be something to complain about, I guess.
ot a fan of Tekken
Btw where is Sackboy i think his fighting would be similar to Kirby
because if you noticed they are shooting for a different fighting types and most importantly different characters form different worlds ( each company represented buy there iconic character or one of them at least )
btw sackboy boy a perfect fit in this game
EDIT : i didnt disagree with you at all you got your point
As of now I will not buy but if Snake, Cloud or Dart from LotD make it in I will buy it. Otherwise I'll just wait until its 17.99
Kratos
Radec
Sweet Tooth
Fat Princess
PaRappa The Rapper
Sly Cooper
Nathan Drake
Big Daddy
Heihachi
Toro
Apparently there's "over 20 characters" in total regarding the final roster.
Especially when everyone is screaming for the inclusion of Snake/Cloud/Crash/Spyro/Lara. etc. So that's disappointing.
Toro on the other hand is a stroke of genius, and looks like a hilarious character to use. So that's great.
I'd be concerned about third-party support right now if we didn't know for certain that Snake is going to be in. We need the big guns.
