Namco Bandai has released the features list for the new Dragon Ball Z game.
i was so excited for this before, but no online = no buy
I am more confused over the omission of Budokai 2. Not much of a an HD collection if its missing a game, in the middle of the franchise no less.
i kno, right!?! its also missing Budokai TENKAICHI 1, 2, 3.
@Tayz, then it would have been called DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi collection.
Not to mention the one which is often considered the single best DBZ game. There must be a reason it wasnt included, becuase it simply doesnt make much sense.
I think they're going to do a Tenkaichi HD Collection as well... That's my guess anyway. Yeah though, where is Budokai 2? That's really lame...
That would be great too if they did that.
No, it was expected of them to do that. It's odd they didn't.
seriously? online play will just be as barren as it is on naruto where only people who spam or use insanely crazy combo will play online with random. even if they had online i wouldnt touch it unless im playing with friends
No online play? Check. No Budokai 2? Check. No Infinite World? Check. None of the Shin Budokai's? Check. Fail Hd collection is fail. It's like namco or whoever intentionally gimped this collection and they continue to go down a downward spiral by actually thinking that shit games like UT and Kinect will be good. So lets boil this down? We have a terrible kinect game coming out, and a terrible HD collection coming out. A terrible year for Dbz fans.
While I'll agree that the lack of online play and the Shin Budokai games are a huge disappointment, honestly I don't see the point in the other gripes. For all intents and purposes, Budokai 2 was a a trainwreck of a game and the big blemish on the Budokai trilogy. While it would have made sense to add Budokai 2 regardless (and honestly, if it was in there I wouldn't touch it anyway) as well as the Shin Budokai games, Infinite World wasn't part of the series. Also, considering the DBZ franchise hasn't had any substantial new material in years, this year has been par for the course for DBZ, with a port of two fantastic games coming as well as a glut of amazing toys coming from Bandai. And I still don't understand the point in bashing games and HD Collections that aren't even out yet and calling them terrible just because a small thing disappoints you.
The mention of B2 was solely for the fact that it's not a full trilogy at all. It's a half assed collection. Infinite world IS apart of the series at the end of the day. The game is developed by the same company. The fighting system is practically the same. Infact IW made improvements to the original B3. Unless you are going to try to argue that because it doesn't share the same name, it's automatically not apart of the series. Which is pretty silly . Budokai 1 is ass. The combo system sucks and the only reason it's praised is because of it's story mode. whoopdy Doo Budokai 3 has it's flaws. Dragon rush sucks, and IW and SB made far more improvements. These aren't small things. They are huge. Hell the features are already outlined. But hey if any individual didn't buy this game for the ps2, or no longer has a ps2(or an early BC ps3) then good for them. I'll stick with my superior infinite world and Shin Budokai series. While this game won't even have online play.
I'd buy it if it only had Budokai 3. Budokai 1 is just a bonus for me. But people will always find something to complain about.
What is there to disagree about? I said I liked it. I didn't say everyone should.
Lol dude, it's N4G, there are trolls who just go down the list of comments and disagree with each one. No worries, you'll always have 1 eventually.
I disagreed with you because you implied that being upset about the omission of a game that should be in there (Budokai 2) is somehow not justified and only a complaint that some spoiled entitled gamer would make. It's not an HD collection if one of the main titles is missing. I played these games as a kid and while I do enjoy all 3 of them, Budokai 2 was by far my favorite of the bunch. I was excited when I first heard there would be a Budokai Collection, and was planning to buy it day one, however now that I've learned that my favorite of the bunch isn't even going to be in the "budokai collection", I'm just going to wait for a price drop or buy it used. Online would be nice if it's included, but that doesn't really matter to me all that much. Budokai 2 does though. There's NO reason it shouldn't be included in this collection.
Wow... Only two of them and no online.
I'm looking forward to one far more than three. Though admittedly from a pure gameplay perspective, it completely blows the first out of the water. Vegeta is my favorite. I'm gay for Vegeta(deal with it). Having Nappa die and snapping into super-saiyan, subsequently destroying both Goku and Earth..... you cannot beat that feeling(for me, as a huge Vegeta fan).
Aside from not having Budokai 2 which is strange, playing Budokai 3 all over again will be fun. Best DBZ game imo. I rather have this than a raging blast game or any other new DB game.
I loved the Budokai series, well mainly 1 and 3, never played the second game... But I have to say my favorite DBZ game was Budokai Tenkaichi 3 on Wii. It had the best control scheme and made you feel pretty badass doing the Ka-me-ha-me-ha motions. Which is odd for me, usually I don't care for the Wii controls on any game.
I'd be all for if it was a Tenkaichi HD collection. I miss playing as Kid Goku and King Piccolo.
Opps double post my bad >_<
I won't be suprise if they announced burst limit 2 or something similar at TGS, since a game usually be announced after a collection or around and no don't db kinect just no.
Budokai 3 is the only DBZ game I'll touch, and is in my opinion the best DBZ game out there. (Shin Budokai was great, but it was great for the PSP.) I'm kinda' here nor there when it comes to online. Honestly, Budokai 3 is so much fun, I doubt I'd need online, unless it was done properly (Burst Limit's online play was terrible). But yeah, this looks more like a quick cash-in for Namco/Bandai. Even though I would probably only play Budokai 3, who could call this a collection? I've got the game for PS2, so I'll probably stick with that. Sorry Namco/Bandai, Konami already showed us how a company does an HD collection RIGHT.
