'The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dawnguard' review: reality bites | The Verge

The Verge: ""Dawnguard," Skyrim's first expansion, is stuck in an eternal struggle with the sun." (PC, PS3, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Xbox 360) 5/10

That is a brutal score, I didn't love the DLC, but I didn't hate it either. I just wish it had been something a little bit easier to get into. I think Bethesda might have waited a little too long to release DLC, I hadn't played Skyrim for about 4 months before this came out.

Its kind of hard to just jump right back into the game for this DLC.

Is it worth the $20?

I wouldn't pay $20 for it, mainly because I was never interested in the Vampire angle to begin with. It does give you about 10-12 hours of gameplay though, double that if you go back and do both sides.

I think it depends on how much you want more Skyrim. It seemed almost like a generic DLC to me.

I think its going to be cool. :D
