Fable 4 Looking to Minecraft for Inspiration on Co-op

StickSkills.com writes, "Lionhead Studios has held quite a following with the Fable franchise, even though the third title in the series didn’t perform as they would have expected. While the series has been enjoyable, quite a few issues have stemmed from over-promising and under-delivering on certain features." (Fable 4, PC, Xbox 360)

Didn't know a Fable 4 was confirmed to be in the making.

I hope Fable 4 is a Xbox 720 game, I'd love to see what they can do with next gen tech in the series.

Peter is gone, so I'm going to go ahead and say we wont be getting the typical over-hyped spiel that we'd normally get. I know a lot of people bash Fable 3, and I think some of it is justified, it was obviously rushed, but it wasn't a terrible game by any means, and its been the best selling Fable game to date, pushing out about 5 million copies.

I hope next generation sees a console Fable MMORPG as well.

Fable went from Fable 2 having an 89 metascore to Fable 3 dropping all the way down to an 80 metascore. And with the "magic of Kinect" Fable the Journey will score in the 30s or 40s like 99% of all Kinect games, especially the ones that are supposed to bring the "core" gamers on board like Steel Battalion and Kinect Star Wars. Without Peter M. Fable has got nowhere to go but down which is where it was headed anyway.

You consider a 80 Metascore to be bad? I would venture to say that you probably like some pretty bad games then.

From your past comments, I seriously doubt you've ever played a Fable game in the first place.

Why bring up Kinect when this article was about core Fable games and the next installment into that?

I am a big fan of Peter.

BUT! I think Lionhead will be better off without him. New people and ideas need to come forward for Fable to become the game we all know it could be.

Microsoft also needs to butt out if they want fable to be the big franchise they expect it to be. Give the artists and developers the freedom and support to do their thing.

I hope Lionhead and Microsoft gets it right for Fable 4.

Fable went shit when they ended up aiming the game people who don't play these type of games.

I'll always have fond memories of Fable 1 however. Always.

The Franchise needs new blood, potential to be bigger than it is now, Peter for some reason got his creativity scattered in his brain and it showed in the game.

Then you're missing out on a great tale, and a good game.

80 metacritic score is bad? so you believe a game under 85 is bad, a game over 85 to 89.9 is good, above 90 and/or exclusive to PS3 is great.
Haze and Lair are good games based on Sony fan boy logic.
