NG: As many of you know, just a few days ago I posted a story that confirmed that the specs of the Wii U dev kit that was leaked earlier last month were true. What maybe was not made clear enough in that post was that those specs were from a dev kit from late last year and some of the things were to change. It is nice though that we can at least confirm what developers were using at the time.
Now, some things have happened over the last few months while Nintendo has prepared the final dev kits to be mass produced for the Wii U. Back in March Nintendo signed a deal with Green Hills Software, the largest independent vendor of embedded software solutions. The Wii U will be using Green Hills Software's MULTI integrated development environment to maximum reliability, maximum performance, and minimum code size.

Call of Duty 2 vs. Gears of War 3 or even Halo 4.
True but its not that hard to get the Res/Fps about right for the multiplatforms at the least.
WiiU can run 1080p without any problems, it was confirmed at 2011's E3. Even THQ said:
-THQ: “WiiU is just alot more powerful than current HD consoles it does 1080p very easy.”
Just because launch games will be 720p it doesn't mean the system doesn't support 1080p. Even Nintendo's official website confirmed it.
It's normal for launch games.
@OneAboveAll
Pikmin 3 was a Wii game until last year and all the rest is launch multiplatform games. We can't expect to see a huge improvement now.
Still, I'm a bit doubtful about this rumor...
Games built from the ground up for the Wii U will showcase what the CPU/GPU can really do. I cannot wait to see what Retro is working on.
He literally says he doesn't believe it is BS. Not that he doesn't believe the rumor. But he meant the latter.
LOL.
seriously... are you feeling well?
I had to check your Tweeter out because I really thought you were a bot account posting the same negative nonsense each time. Excuse me, i'm sorry The gang on here don't understand that you're really a blind space cadet that don't understand video games.
I would love to see your side, why don't you believe this? For F' sakes you can even PM me to spare everyone the extra posting space taken up.
I might be able to make you understand fact from fiction. I can help (IGA = Ignorant Gamer Anonymous)
I am waiting for the the YouTube video of the disassembly after launch.
How much does this chip cost is bulk? That right there is the most likely reason (if true) that Nintendo would use this chip.
If developers are willing to code for this machine should be a good jump from the current consoles. i can't wait to pick mine up.
You already did tell them what they wanted to hear, you said you don't believe that the article is BS. 7_7

It will be like twice the power of ps3 and do 1080p @ 30fps.It may also be the most power efficient console of the next generation.
That being said. Specs are extremely weak compare to what it is available nowadays for pc.
This is amazing news and ive read the original source which states tweaks were made to make it more powerful.
PS3 SM 3.0/WiiU SM 5.0
PS3 DX9/OpenGl 1.0 tweaked/WiiU DX11/OpenGl 4.1/Green hill
