Nintendo's re-imagining the Glory days They want the Wii U to be as viable as the Snes was for them, back in the day (more quality supported 3rd party software).
Iwata is the main reason why Nintendo has sucked since the Gamecube days. He's the only constant. Every thing was peachy until he came along and tried to turn Nintendo from a family-friendly (yet hardcore) company, into a freaking Disney console. Fans were listened to, and happy. 3rd party's were happy. Lose Iwata, and re-claim the glory.
@MistaDonzie I think you need to do some research lol. Stupid comment if you ask me.
If it wasn't for Iwata, Nintendo would probably die in the console market (gamecube sold REALLY bad).
Maybe Nintendo sucks for you, but for me they are one of the best in the industry. I still love their first party titles and it's not their fault there is no THIRD party support, but they are pushing it this time (or at least trying).
3DS is doing a great jog with much more third party support than vita, much more exclusive games (games you can only find on the 3DS) and more sales for third party games than vita.
If Nintendo is saying they are going to push third party sales, then I will wait and see.
Also, even N64 had third party problems (just look at games like Resident Evil 3, Final Fantasy etc). Now Iwata is trying to fix it.

Nintendo was strongly family friendly since forever!
"Lose Iwata, and re-claim the glory." if you mean by "glory" is selling like crap and inevitably go Sega way and lose the hardware market forever, then no thanks!

I'm expect an support parity.
