Whilst many a more talented, educated and optimistic journalist waxes lyrical about GTA 5’s upcoming potential to take our mind for a tour around Los Santos, making sure to smack it against every hot-dog stand, every vehicle and gang related murdered body along the way; I myself find the prospect of GTA 5 not merely an exciting one, but a chance to recapture something lost in the translation of the generation switch.
Did you really played Red Dead Redemption, GTA IV and Episodes from liberty city?
All those games have tons of funny characters with funny video sequences.
GTAIV had the annoying mobile phone, dating and bowling.
Didn't play the other.
I'd rather we got less serious weapons back like the flame thrower, better radio stations like in Vice City and a more interesting story.
Well, I think Niko's story is way better than a simple gangster's story (which we had in San Andreas). What I do miss is things like:
-Airplanes
-GYM
-Bicycles
-Fat/skinny body
-Car customization (like turbo and some other things)
-Martial arts (San Andreas had Karate/Kung Fu and Boxe)
etc
And yes, Vice City and GTA 3 had way better radio stations. I enjoyed Emotion, Espantoso, Lips 106 etc. I hope they can bring Espantoso back.
San Andreas came from a solid core game, to get that again Rockstar had to make sure the basics where right with GTA4 which I think they were.
For me, its online portion was fun. Its story, well made. Its atmosphere, engaging and superb at its time. Its main character, like able on the extent that he is a person, with lots of defects and problems in life. Not just this wannabe trying to get on top.
I also didnt find Red Dead Redemption that great. I actually played the single player longer than I did with GTA 4 but thats not saying much.
