I bet the controls are going to be the awkard "hold x to run" just like in RE5. Making the controls outdated in order to add tension and scares is very sad Capcom. Here's a tip, how about making your game actually scary?
Well you can move while shooting, you can even have a a normal aiming mode if you want so it shouldn't feel dated. Plus resident evil has never been scary, up to number three it was the tension that built up to a fight and then trying to survive it. Then number 4 (some consider the best) did the action side where it was more surviving against over whelming odds. Resident evil 6 looks like they are trying to cater between the two. Personally I hope it turns out well.
