There are some basic rules when it comes to making a game’s sequel. It has to have everything the previous game had, plus more, with prettier graphics, richer gameplay, and fresh ideas. That is why when Firaxis released Civilization 5, fans realised they had screwed up. The game’s graphics were indeed prettier, gameplay mechanics were improved, but something was definitely missing. They had taken OUT one of the key elements that made Civ 4 so immersive and fun – religion. Indeed, gone was the (historically accurate) joy of your Civ jamming your ideology of choice down the throat of every other nation. Whether the company was too timid, too rushed, or plain too lazy to return religion to Civ 5, it was too bad for them; the genie was out of the bottle and Civ fans have been letting them know ever since.

I remember back in the early 90's (I swear I do) at university there was somebody in my dorm room pretty much 24 hours a day playing Civ II on my Amiga.
Has anyone else ever started playing a Civ game after dinner, then just casually look through the window and think " Holy crap...The sun has risen!"

Wow that looks really good. Might finally have to pick up Gods & Kings. And probably become hopelessly addicted to this game again...
Do we know if these can be used in conjunction with the normal rulers as well or does the mod override them? AKA Can I have Robb as my ruler and do battle with Cleopatra?

Where are you based that the game costs $50? I bought it off Steam for $30 the day it came out. Australia maybe? /=[
