What Motion Controls Got Right — Pt. 3 (Sword-Fighting Games)

It was likely the first thought that crossed many minds when the Wii remote was first unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show in 2005: "What can it do for sword-fighting games? Or lightsaber games?"

Here, we recap the highs and lows of the Wii's sword-fighting games. (No More Heroes, Red Steel, Red Steel 2, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed , The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii, Wii U)

I agree... Zelda is a fine example of great controls on a Wii title. It is also a fine example of what a great Wii title should be like. It is crafted in such a way that the control scheme is natural and responsive. Also, it feels like I am playing a game, but at the same time I am experiencing something different.

A bit off topic, but Metroid Prime3 was great for FPS and I personally think the Wii controls went hand in hand with Resident Evil4's game design. Perfect examples of how to use the Wii-mote. Unfortunately, too many developers/publishers just went for the simple cash in.
