I'm very confused as to what happened when it comes to the new 86 and the Subaru BRZ. Completely different cars o_O...

No, they're the same car, with slightly different trims based on the manufacturer, such as the stereo system(s). They're specifications, performance and even interior dimensions are virtually indistinguishable.

well there are differences between the BRZ's and FR-S' interiors. Colors aren't the same and the BRZ does not have faux carbon fiber.

And, as of yet, we still aren't getting the 86 in the US. Probably won't be getting the BRZ for a while, either, but I'm not sure on that.

Somehow, though, I imagine the 86 is a bit more powerful.

@Hicken The US isn't getting the 86, we're getting the FRS and BRZ. All three of these cars, FRS, 86 and BRZ are the SAME car. They have little minute differences but they're the same vehicle. Same engine, same architecture, almost same price. Other than available transmissions there's very little different between the models
