Sleeping Dogs “not as large as previous True Crime games”. Focused on “gameplay density”
Speaking to OPM, design director Mike Scupa has said that Sleeping Dogs is, “not as large as previous True Crime games” and instead focuses on “gameplay density”.
(PS3, PSP, Sleeping Dogs, Xbox 360)
And now the environment isn't going to be quite as large as past True Crime titles. This game is getting less and less like a GTA style of game that it was portrayed as over the past few months. Not so sure I want to buy this on day 1, might have to wait and see how other gamers like it.
I was very disappointed that this game mainly takes place on Hong Kong Island ... and a little part of Kowloon, instead of using the whole of Hong Kong, which has so much more interesting areas to show and explore.
I really hope this game will be a succes, which might be a perfect set-up for a bigger and better sequel.
I really would have liked to have explored the cities in the New Territories (Yuen Long, Tai Po, Sai Kung, Shatin) etc etc, as well as Lantau Island with it's gorgeous nature, the airport, and the big buddha and monastery.
