GR - "Checkout these brand new Halo 4 Screenshots."
They look prettier every week. Best looking Halo game yet.
That map looks amazing. Some great multiplayer matches to be had there. Can't wait.
This game is going to set a high mark in graphics fidelity and gameplay. I'm really excited!!
Looks awesome....GOTY nominee right there.
Yep, i think this one deserves GOTY. Honestly can't think of anything else that comes close. Unless of course Rockstar springs GTA5 onto us!
I am a mad Halo fan... but I ain't going about calling GOTY on something I have never played or seen played, because that's just silly.
looking damned good.
Now properly bring it (back) to PC.
Can't wait for 6th November!
Why the hell wouldn't anyone want this available on PC? WTF is wrong with people.
Because halo has never seemed to work very well for pc, I had halo CE on Pc a few years after Xbox and the controls just feel wrong, it's designed for a gamepad not a mouse. ( Mods and Graphics would be awesome for Halo 4 on pc though)
That's a ridiculous thing to say, mouse and keyboard, with the right support, is damn near infinitely more flexible than any game pad.
Definitely the best looking console game to date especially considering the openness of the world versus many of the smaller boxed worlds of other graphically advanced games.
LOL....Gears looks better. I never trust screens from ANYONE, whether it be naughty dog, epic games, bungie, whoever...its GAMEPLAY I look for and if NONE of those are bullshots like some of the halo 3 ones then I don't know what is. Gameplay cant be edited in the same way as screens. http://i.imgur.com/ZXIB9.jp... Remember this?....it looks just as good as the screens in this article, but the game did not look like that. No doubt this game will look great, REACH looked damn good, but best console graphics ever? In your dreams, that pure fanboyism right there. I didn't see halo walking away from e3 with any BEST graphics awards. Halo is literally my ONLY online game I have ever truely enjoyed for months on end, but it has never had the best graphics. Look at some more REALISTIC shots from the game. http://www.gamedemption.com... Its still quite a looker, but doesn't match up to other titles like Gears of war 3, Uncharted, Crysis 2 etc. Granted some of those arent nearly as fun a halo, but you get the idea.....halo is not about graphics, but they always keep it up-to-date. The same stuff happened with halo REACH's "revolutionary" graphics and they nowhere near the bullshots and "in-engine" trailers. What people dont get is like with the last of us reveal "in engine trailer" and Halo reach in engine trailer. is they are exactly that....IN engine PRE RENDERED. meaning they are powered by the same engine that powers the game, but for CGI purposes and not adding things that would effect the frame rate.
Your comparing Bungie and 343i. Bungie admitted the first Reach trailer was prerendered, 343 is saying the trailers shown for Halo 4 (except the original CG trailer last year, and the live action one) were real time. There's gameplay videos of Halo 4 out, go watch them. The second video is different: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Note that he said " especially considering the openness of the world versus many of the smaller boxed worlds of other graphically advanced games." gears looks good but it is one of THE MOST linear games out there right now, whereas halo offers huge open sandbox levels. Also Reach was a huge step up from the previous entries in the franchise, nobody expect that to set new boundaries with graphics and bungie never Reyes to convince anyone of that. However, halo 4's graphics look incredible and to deny that simple fact is just foolish.
I never denied Halo 4 looks great and that it is more open than previous halo's, but it is not the most graphically advanced game....even for an open world. The shots here are obvious bullshots when you look at ACTUAL GAMEPLAY. it doesn't look nearly as good, and nowhere near "best console graphics to date". Plus again the game did not walk away from e3 with a SINGLE best graphics award....meaning there were others that looked much better. Plus I would like to add taht game companies will do ANYTHING to sell you a game, I know at least someone who works on code for activision here in santa monica, and in-engine, and real time are BOTH ways around the truth...he said the only true way to know is if they say "Actual gameplay footage". Both the others are technical, like if they play a video on a console they can say that it was running on an actual ps3/360 which in truth it was, but it also wont look like that. Its all technical, its advertising, and that can be manipulated like if there is a drug that could cure cancer, but 50/50 chance it could kill you. Technically it can do the job its saying, but it also wont in many cases. @AlphaTauri I never denied you were a fan....that part is obvious, but to say that it is the best console graphics with nothing to back it up only that its halo and you obviously love it is fanboyish.
also check out some real gameplay http://www.youtube.com/watc... Doesn't look anything like these shots.....not even close. Plus even Reach had an open like world that was promised, but in reality....it gave you the feeling of an open world...similar to rage, it felt open, but really wasnt. Halo was obviously more fun and less open than RAGE, but you get the idea.
Yeah, you guys caught me - I'm a fan :b mwahahaha. I can play Halo and Gears of War for days! I'll need intervention for Halo 4 - is there any medication for "fanboyism?"
Plus halo 4 already has been confirmed as using halo reach's engine....thats not going to look better than crysis 2....or other games of that calubur for that matter
ummm.... So how do you back up "Best Graphics" exactly? What technical measure that is absolute ( and measures apple to apples so to speak) do you use for that? Other than some AWARDS based on some media writers OPINIONS? Please enlighten me on which engines produce the most polys, shaders, pixels, and AI/ physics calculations in respect to number of enemies and other things going on in each game's world that is truly measurable (again on an apples to apples scale)? Yes, Halo 4 uses Reach's engine, but it will feature "Vast improvements" and a rewrite of "massive components of the technology that powers the game"( http://www.videogamer.com/x... So as with many major games, the engines get improved and more advanced as described here by IGN ( http://www.ign.com/articles... Finally and again, I think it looks the best yet - it's an opinion just as your disagreement is an opinion. However, thanks for the multiple posts on why your opinion matters more.
Ahh, I can't wait for more halo mp memories.
After seeing actual gameplay for the multiplayer I can't wait for this game. When we first heard about the multiplayer I was a bit frightened about the changes, but seeing it in action has showed I was wrong. It just looks fun, the BR looks awesome, the graphics are a huge step up as well. Campaign however, I was never really worried about. 343 knows the fiction and reading the recent books have gave me confidence in the story. Limited edition pre-ordered.
you can tell its going to be fucking epic just look at that map and the sky
