Jeff writes: "...EA did a marvelous job of scoffing at a mail-in campaign protesting Mass Effect 3‘s use of gay and lesbian characters. Reading through notes I thought it’d be fun to conduct a social experiment: just how well did BioWare do in portraying these characters and how it speaks for the rest of the industry."
I remember there being a huge stink about gay relationships by fans of The Old Republic. I never thought such close minded people even existed within gaming culture. It's a sad, sad day when I read about young people who share my interests behaving in such a needless manner.
Then again the entire Bioware fanbase seems like that nowadays.
And in the ME games you have the option of being in relationships with other species and aliens. I don't ever remember hearing about that being controversial...
Here I was thinking Mass Effect 3 was a M-rated game, but apparently that relates only to blood and violence. If someone (Jack) tries to say a 'naughty word' it cuts to black, and if someone tries to expose some flesh that will go over PG-13, it just ignores logic and keeps them in clothes. Dafaq?
