Nintendo: Wii U takes social gaming further than Wii
Nintendo believes the Wii got the ball rolling in a big way when it comes to social gaming. With Wii U, however, the company wants to take this a step further.

I think the idea is it is a console for one, but the one console will bring people together. Both in the living room and online.
At least one can hope. If there's a focus for online gaming here, I've yet to see it outside of Miiverse. My fingers are still crossed for NSMBU. They confirmed no online for Pikmin 3 and NSMB2, but not for the Wii U game. Day one buy for me if there's online coop.
It actually can't get more social than the Wii, that's impossible. The Wii had 4 people standing in front of TV's flailing their arms, how do you top that? xD
how longs did it last? board games are social too, except the end up in the closest. gotta get that things ready to remain out, and nintendos hasnt done that yet with WiiU.
I'm thinking by social Nintendo is focusing on living room social gaming, as their many videos showcasing WiiU has the whole family practically sitting on one couch. Either playing a game together or passing the WiiPad. Not to mention that WiiU will no doubt be heavily infused with social Apps such as Twitter, Facebook & YouTube. All functions of which the Wii did not incorporate to take advantage of the whole social explosion genre.
Yeah, saying Wii U will be more socially connected in its online experiences than the Wii, is like saying a new console will have more online connectivity than the Gamecube.
