Good. Keep your gameplay the way you want it and the way your gamers want it. Don't just use technology because it's there, use it because it makes sense and adds to the experience in a meaningful way.
totally agree, forcing Kinect 4 the sake of "look, u can play gears with Kinect" isn't the way 2 go imo.
I would have loved to have voice control. Both Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim's Kinect support was well received. Granted GoW:J doesn't have as complex controls, but controlling squad members would be awesome "Cole move up!" So yeah, I want Kinect support!
but that's iff they include squad control. So far gears has never allowed you to command your squad. Hopefully they do now, it would be interesting since there's so much reliance on teams.
I really don't understand the dislike for something you don't *need* to use? Voice control with Kinect so far has been all optional, so why the disagree? I guess some people are the type of person that thinks if *I* don't enjoy it, nobody else should!!! @spicelicka: I sure wish there was more squad control options, even though it isn't currently part of Gears. Horde would be better with squad control.
Who wanna buy some expensive ass camera to only use its microphone? My 360 already came with a mic and I have a Logitech F540 also. Lets use our mics instead. Kinect exclusive voice commands is just the most stupid thing ever. Its like it never was possible before, but now they have started pushing it with kinect as a kinect exclusive feature... Kind of like apple pushed 3G video calls with Iphone... -__- Anyways I'd like to thank Epic and People can fly for leaving Kinect out of real games. Love their games, just wish they would make more Unreal games. I still play the original Unreal, and it's Awesome.
Thank god. I hope they let you command AI squad members with the microphone, though. Like rainbow six Vegas did. That's be awesome since its more of a war scenario this time.
Epic have never been on the Kinect train and it seems its not going to change anytime soon.
So no voice commands....still not sure why MS put a camera on Kinect when the only games it works with besides Dance Central only use the microphone.
Good news. Kinect is cool but not for games like this. LOL @ the usual trolls.
@ChunkyLover53 don't forget Gunsmith in TC future soldier & the up coming Splinter cell.
Friday night is Gears of War Night. Saturday night is Call of Duty night. Kinect would be a great addition to the series and add to the gameplay experience. Chips and dip: Friday night is Gears of War night!
