Unreal Engine 4 could make next-gen console launches if studios are "horribly aggressive"

Unreal Engine 4 could make an appearance on Sony and Microsoft's new systems on day one if developers choose to be "horribly aggressive".

"The problem is without knowing what the dates are it's hard to say [whether it would appear at launch]," senior technical artist Alan Willer said.

"A licensee could take the engine now and decide we're going to break off from getting more code updates and just get out there, and ship launch it if they wanted to be horribly aggressive."

"But at the same time, they could decide to continue to get code updates and ship at their own schedule." (Dev, Next-Gen, Unreal Engine 4)
