Microsoft confirm loads of New Halo 4 info via Expert Zone. Confirms there will be 10 new weapons, 2 new vehicles, 50 Spartan Ops missions.
(Halo 4, Xbox 360)
Your complaining about something that's worth 10 weeks (2 1/2 months)of content?
Also your example is terrible, ME3 has From Ashes ($9.99. Even though it's single player content, I'm sure paid MP stuff is being developed. I don't believe they said all DLC would be free for that title.
I'd much rather pay for content like this that adds to the story of the game and the universe than pay for multiplayer maps that hardly ever come up in matchmaking.
The first season free is pretty great in my opinion. I mean they are putting a lot of resources into Spartan Ops, it will be very story driven and focus on the Spartan 4's after Halo 4's story. It may even bridge the gap between 4 and 5.
Having the first season free and charging later on is kind of what was expecting. As long as its good and story is well thought out, I wouldn't mind paying for it.
It kind of still is because those enemies aren't real Prometheans. Prometheans are the warrior class of Forerunners, organics, which these enemies are not. They are Forerunner AIs being controlled by somebody. I'm just confused as to why they decided to call these guys Promtheans.
So its still a mystery as to who is controlling these AIs, I have my ideas as to who it is. If you read the Forerunner books you may also get some ideas.
It's pretty obvious who it is since that certain person's icon is shown at the end of the E3 2012 trailer. But the real reason why these "Prometheans" aren't organic might be what we find out over the course of the campaign, and not one of those required pieces of information that should be known before you play the game.
I need to finish reading Cryptum and Primordium...
You will find out why they aren't organic if you read the books. But you should definitely read them, great books. Start slow but are very interesting reads.
I'm confused...I thought Spartan ops was ALL free. That's what they said initially. My buds and I all thought about how revolutionary that was...disappointed. unless I heard them wrong before.
You get first season for free. And it apparently has 50 missions in 10 weeks. What is wrong with paying for season 2 if you like the first, is 343 not good enough to get your money.
I want to know more about potentially bringing back clans and the ranking system. As long as there is one skill based multiplayer playlist and one social, life will be good. I don't even care about number ranks, just match me with other people based on skill, to promote mic usage, team work and intense competitive matches.
They did mention something about "groups" in one of the slides, so that may be a good sign.
As for ranking I agree with you, Halo 3 had some problems with ranking glitches and stuff but I'm hoping for something similar. You can actually see how good a player someone is by looking at their ranks rather than using a progression system.
Such as the first ME3 DLC with the Batarians etc...
Don't be so cheap dude, no one's forcing you.

Not a whole lot of new information, but interesting nonetheless.

"The Master Chief is back"
"Halo is Blockbuster"
It's like it was translated from English to a foreign language and then back again.
