GamerPops Review: Madagascar 3

Of all the video gaming genres, kids movie tie-ins may be the most hard-done-by. It’s the extremely rare effort that does anything truly memorable in a category where most developers and publishers are looking to put out something “good enough” to cash in on the movie before it leaves the theatre. Now that it’s summer, the onslaught of those games is upon us, starting with Madagascar 3, based on the very, very good Dreamworks movie that your kids should definitely enjoy.
But will they enjoy the game? The good news is, the game does manage to capture a piece of what makes the movie so special. The bad news is that it only captures a piece. (Madagascar 3: The Video Game, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360) 3.5/5
