Bethesda Makes Obvious Mistake With Skyrim: Dawnguard DLC

Dawnguard, Bethesda's highly anticipated expansion pack for Skyrim has finally released. In it you must choose a side in the eternal war, vampires or humans? Well apparently you don't actually have to choose a side thanks to a possible oversight from Bethesda. Let's just say the Vampire Hunters are very understanding and tolerant people.

gazgriff2k121943d ago

interesting im a werewolf i wonder if i can become a werewolf vampire hybrid

lashes2ashes1943d ago

They already said you have to pick one wolf or vampire.

gazgriff2k121943d ago

im on ps3 and already a werewlof on my main save. so the question is will i be able to pick sides with the vampires and be a hybrid

ThanatosDMC1943d ago

The two diseases dont mix since you become immune to the other if you contract one of them.

da_2pacalypse1943d ago

They said that at one point you're given the option to switch from being a warewolf to a vampire. That is the only chance you have to switch. Otherwise, you're stuck with whatever you have.

omi25p1943d ago

Il never know. Because after downloading Dawnguard i discovered both of my saves had corrupted and id lost 500 hours of gameplay and i just cant be arsed to restart.

omi25p1943d ago

8 disagrees??? So i didnt lose 500 hours of gameplay. OOOooooook

xursz1942d ago (Edited 1942d ago )

I feel your pain man. Don't worry about the disagrees because apparently they don't know what it's like to lose all those hours of playtime. The same happened to me with MGS Snake Eater back in the day and it was sooo painful to have to start all over. It's a heart wrenching feeling.

lycanthropy cures vampirism

Siren301943d ago

Whats wrong with being a vampire who hunts other vampires?

ThanatosDMC1943d ago (Edited 1943d ago )

Well, my character hunted everyone and anything that moved. Except for those characters who cant die.

Kurt Russell1943d ago

We all had a pop at them too :D I tried blasting a ocuple of invincibles off high ledges :D

ThanatosDMC1942d ago

The worst immortals in the game were those snotty little kids. Heck, if you tried stealing from houses past midnight some of them dont ever sleep. Those kids find you even with high sneak.

hilmart1943d ago (Edited 1943d ago )

The only mistake I'd say is the one they announced back before the game was released: "Xbox 1-month timed exclusive"
Us PC gamers and PS3 are pretty pissed.

Neo Nugget1943d ago

I'm pretty used to waiting when it comes to Skyrim.

dubt721943d ago

In solidarity with other gamers, I will wait one hour, have some pizza and watch some TV, before I go and enjoy my already downloaded Dawnguard. You're welcome.

TekoIie1943d ago (Edited 1943d ago )

It benefits us in some ways. I get to see the reviews for the DLC and know whether or not i should buy or how high my expectations should be.

Although it kinda takes away some of the hype for it :(

Philoctetes1943d ago

Meh. One month is no big deal.

MysticStrummer1943d ago

Timed exclusives are one level of stupid, timed exclusive DLC takes it up (or down) a notch on the stupid scale, and content that's exclusive for one month is just laughable. When I heard this DLC was a timed exclusive for 360 I assumed it would be much longer than a month before PC and PS3 got it. I wonder how much MS paid for this. lol

nvidia should start cutting these deals for timed PC exclusives! That way way it would come out on the best platform first. :D

DJSlapaho1943d ago

Meh the community mods makes up for the wait. We will get it in a month. The same cant be said for them about the mods.
