Vita Game Heaven Coming June 28th

Yes, you read that right. We’d mentioned that the Vita Gaming Heaven was supposed to hit us by the end of June, and from the looks of it, it’ll be on the twenty-eighth. Soon we will be witnesses to whatever great and wonderful things Sony has in store for us, although it is safe to say we probably won’t see anything announced during the presentation till at least the first or second quarter of 2013 (if we even see them brought over at all) with the show being focused on Japan releases.

The author of this article does know that of the 6 brand new games announced at the last gaming heaven, one has already released (Gundam Seed Battle Destiny) and another is about to release (Dokuro).

The only problem with the first Gaming Heaven was its poor presentation, which resulted in people only remembering that Phantasy Star Online 2 was announced.

I suspect that all 5 new games not released yet will see new updates, along with more concrete info on the announced PS1 emulator. As for new games... that will remain to be seen, but as the article points out: this is definitely Japan orientated.

Hopefully more on Malicious, and the Grasshopper download games initiative at the very least.

The real problem for me is that Phantasy Star Online 2 will be released for smartphones before the end of this year and the vita version will release in 2013.

Aggesan2217d ago

Not a problem really since it's f2p. Just start playing on whatever platform you choose and continue on the Vita if you want to.

Hisiru2217d ago

So it's cross platform AND free to play? I am really happy now! Thanks sir! I will try to run it on my Galaxy S2 if possible and then I will play it on vita next year.

That photo is back to front.

Doom and gloom much? Why not wait until you see if they make good on their promise before spouting off.

If they fail...whinge away!

Last one wasn't a heaven at all, so much hype for a couple of games, how the things are going for Vita, people were expecting Monster Hunter, Kindom Hearts, FF and all big names, they got none of them, if this one is going to be the same as the first, people will b*tch even more...

Hisiru2217d ago (Edited 2217d ago )

Well, japanese people can already play KH and Monster Hunter on 3DS. Monster Hunter 4 is also coming for the 3DS, there is no need for more MH and KH (except Kingdom Hearts 3)

I want a new Loco Roco/Patapon for Vita.

Tired2217d ago

My point being Sony have already gone on record and promised a better job than last time.

So why not wait a bit and see...then whinge. Not just whinge for the sake of it.

vita will soon lead sales in japan. U can bet on it.

homer2216d ago

Not likely. 3ds just got a Dragon Quest, new mario coming soon, 3ds XL, and a new pokemon while still be for ds, it contains special features for 3ds users. In fact, Pokemon B/W 2 sold more units of software in 2 days than vita has sold software in Japan in 7 months. Maybe if it picks up later in the gen in Japan like psp did.
