Even Treyarch doesn't know who's developing Black Ops on Vita. Apparently.

Vita details are "quite literally declassified", says a confused Treyarch. (Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, PS Vita)

Something tells me this game is going to disappoint. It looks the same as PSP from where I am standing right now. Devs just don't seem to take Sony handhelds seriously. So far I can note outside LBP I want UMVC3 and NGS plus. The latter two I have already.

I would love to play UMVC3, NGS plus, Street Fighter vs Tekken and some other games on Vita, but I already have a PS3 and there is no need to pay even more for a portable version with smaller screen. I have Uncharted, Wipeout and Gravity Rush now, and I love those games. It's a shame the majority of vita games are just console ports. Vita has a lot of potential.

If this Black Ops is a different version, then I will probably buy it but it's the same campaing, then I won't even bother because I will probably buy the PS3 version.

I own a vita, and there's about 26(if not more) vita games out right now, and I was wondering can you actually list these ports?... And when I mean ports, I mean EXACT carbon copies from the system(s) that's these games, that you are about to mention were on... Because I have about 10 and only one of them came out on another system and is MGS HD, and that's a muliplat, seeing that it came out on xbox, ps3, and vita...

Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear also say hi. So plenty of devs do take Sony handhelds pretty seriously.

He said classified, which doesn't necessarily mean bad.
neutralgamer19  +   358d ago
Devs dont take Sony handhelds seriously? Really? Uncharted, Unit 13, MvC, Res burn skies (dont care what anyone says this game is good and mp is great), Soul Sacrifice, Assassins Creed and Gravity Rush all seem to differ on your stance of not taking Sony handhelds seriously.

Just say COD and its publishers are a bunch of greedy morons who really dont bring nothing new to the table. Even with that we dont know yet how COD on Vita will turn out it still might surprise.

Uncharted, Resistance:BS (horrid lil game) and Gravity Rush are first party titles so they don't really count as proof that (other) devs don't take VITA seriously.
What you have left is MvC (a port), Soul Sacrifice (an uproven game) and Assassin's Creed (the only worthy point)

Something tells me you didn't look hard enough.

And since we're talking about handheldS, then that includes the PSP as well, which has a big list of third-party support enough to disproof what you just said.

Go back to your 360, troll.
sikbeta  +   358d ago
Real support right there lol ... Vita needs more than just spin-offs and ports, games like Gravity Rush and Soul Sacrifice that can only be played on that system Alone...

All I can say is they announced this game last year at E3, when they announced the Vita. A year later at E3 and they still have no gameplay footage to show, which obviously means that development hasn't started yet or is in the very early stages. Not good, the game is suppose to release this holiday and nobody even knows who is developing it. Come on Sony, a system seller franchise and they are screwing it up.

Maybe it will be Neversoft. I remember reading that Activision wants them to do something Call of Duty related
Ezio-Auditore00  +   358d ago
If neversoft is making this cod than maybe they will try not to dissappoint
AngelicIceDiamond  +   358d ago
Well wtf? Activision, Treyarch, somebody better know who has there hands on this, or this could end up failed cod ripoff on the Vita. As it stand Sony need Black Ops 2 as well as other big titles to succeed like ACL, and if nobody knows who's developing for it, it could end up a huge sign for failure for the Vita version.

Wouldn't mind playing a tony hawk game on the vita. I always thought skateboarding games were for handhelds rather than consoles and now we have the vita its perfect.

On an actual note I am sure Activision know and thats all that matters.

I wish EA would bring Skate to the Vita. That would be awesome. Tony Hawk would be great too.
