Resident Evil 6 Collector’s Edition announced by Capcom

Capcom has just released details of the upcoming Resident Evil 6 Collector’s Edition and Steelbook for Australia and New Zealand.

The Resident Evil 6 Collector’s Edition includes the standard retail game inside a Zombie Steelbook. On top of that, the Collector’s Edition also contains:

I don't get giving you the game and a steelbook...the MGS HD Collectors Edition did the same thing

Why not just put the game inside of the steelbook and use the money spent on the games box on something else.

Hopefully when I get this a few month after RE6 is released they'll still have some copies left of the CE.

It's actually $30 on DLC cause you get RE 1,2,3,4, and 5 for download when the total cost would be more than $30;

also get the cg movie. for 90 you still get re6

Best extortionists in the industry. Yeah Activision Blizzard probably extorts more, but Crapcom's petty tactics take them to a whole other level. Actually I don't know. Activision really stepped it up a notch with the whole real life auction house DRM bullshit. They're neck and neck.

Seriously we need to sign a petition against this company.
-Against selling incomplete games where you need to buy DLC to finish them.
-Against creating new versions of the same game 6 months after release

DLC should be done when the player wants more pie. Having the server come by and ask if you want to pay to finish your pie is insulting. But all of you damn kids keep buying these games. A lot of you never even played the goddamn originals. My god. So bad. You're all a bunch of lemmings.

Such a shame to see such a good company fall from so high. Sure they have lots of money, but what good is money when your fanbase is a bunch of ignorant little snots?

They made the survival horror genre and abandoned it for money. /sigh At least they still support their fighting games. Just wait until the day comes where they can fundamentally alter those to make more money.

I'm not really bothered by their activities anymore. I've come to the conclusion that anyone who supports this type of company that puts profits over the games themselves will get what they deserve in the end. It'll happen to you too. It's inevitable.

Leon's campaign is heading in the right direction but this part didn't scare. It could have.

And yet, Capcom will release a better version than this collectors edition down the road, equivalent to RE 5's Gold Edition. Or like Marvel vs Capcom 3 with Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Arcade Edition.
