MSXbox World Gives 8/10 To Omega Five

"Omega Five is a decent shooter, that's not overly hard but not too easy either. It's colourful, full of character, but will probably be overlooked by a lot of gamers who are scared by these old school types of games. Omega Five is the kind of game that if you stick with, will reward you with some sense of accomplishment when you take down a boss or just get better as you replay levels. I'd say compared to some other games on the XBLA, Omega Five is well worth the 800 points price of entry."

Hudson 3DS Titles Cancelled

Andriasang: The release list in this week's Famitsu has some mega carnage for Hudson fans. It looks like many of the publisher's upcoming titles have been cancelled, presumably due to the recent Konami acquisition.

XBLA Shmup Omega Five Coming to 3DS

It's okay if you don't remember Omega Five. The Natsume-developed side-scrolling shump hit XBLA in early 2008 and has since shot into obscurity. According to Famitsu, the game is set to appear on Nintendo 3DS in Japan during Spring 2011 -- where it'll probably make a more memorable bow among a launch lineup otherwise devoid of "traditional" shoot-em-ups.
