Darksiders II is getting a season pass deal for its DLC. Blake Anglin of Leviathyn.com has an issue with this. Gears of War 3 did this but Darksiders isn't exactly the hype machine that Epic's shooter is.
I understand what was written, I don't understand how the writer can't. Those who preorder from anywhere will get the the first DLC free and the next 2 at a discounted rate with the season pass, If they choose to buy the season pass. Those that order directly from their site will get the game and all 3 DLCs, because the middle man had been cut out of the equation. At least that is what I believe. Those that don't preorder will get the standard edition and will have to pay for the first DLC, since it's not part of the Season pass (which I find unbelievable). At least that is what I got from it.
Come on...... Well I absolutely will not be buying a season pass for dlc that may or may not end up being good. I obviously don't know what this will end up being, but my initial reaction based on how this is supposedly so much bigger than the first game I just don't see dlc being necessary. I see them doing what they did for the first release by making the secondary weapon of the game "dlc" when there is already a slot/button for it beforehand. Granted I had completely forgotten about it until just now. Meaning that it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game. I'm very much looking forward to Darksiders 2. Though I'll curious what they'll end up adding to the game. Thq already burned it's fans dlc-wise with Saints Row The Third, which I already had thought was worse than the second one. Eh... We will just have to see....
