Each halo (aside from reach) has been fantastic.
Same with Zelda etc. just a stupid list for hits.
Thanks 411 for reminding me why I never visit you.
For anyone to be able to say a franchise needs to die, I believe they should have experience being the lead on a uber-successful gaming franchise... until then, you have no idea what you're talking about.
Honestly, if you are not a fan of a series or you have had you run and now moved on then by all means....move on. That doesnt mean there isnt a slew of others who enjoy what a franchise has to offer.
It is all subjective and personal opinion but it is when that personal opinion is thrown about like it is fact is where I draw the line. Gaming is about entertainment. If that means there will be 20+ halo games then so be it. Obviously there is a market for each type of game that has been invented/released or they never would have been invented/released.
And with that, that also means there is so much diversity to which there is something for everyone. If you dont like it...dont play it but dont tell me that because you dont like it, it needs to go away.
Gotta agree with you again. If you don't like it ignore it. It's not like these games affect your enjoyment of other games.
There are 'plenty' of franchises that have been milked relentlessly from every genre and platform. It's business.
8. MY LITTLE PONY
Sport games I'd say at least every 2-3 years, have updated rosters as downloads instead of "This year we added features that we cut from last years game to add hype and make it look like its worth $60."
Angry Birds = hmm i only started playing it a very fun game
Fifa Series and WWE/Smackdown Series = wwe games got samey
sims = oh defo no i love sims but i do like sims 2 more then 3 creative games are very big i mean look at lbp and minecraft
Final Fantasy = only started with 13 a good long game got board of games finishing too soon
Sonic the Hedgehog = oh no way but mairo is defo should die there too many mairo games
Call of Duty = oh yes should defo die
Legend of Zelda = dont no its not that over rated as mairo i guess
Halo = i only played 1 and 2 dont mind it just wnat microsoft to but halo 3 on pc
and ff games have been good to me after 10 definitely harder and more routes and harder enemies than the older ones
I think Halo needs a hiatus. There's just been too many this gen. I think 343 will do a good job but I don't think it's radical enough to deserve another iteration so soon. I would have went out on the high note that was Reach and designed something new from the ground up or better yet just call it a day and create a new IP. Halo Wars was a nice way to get away from pew pew fps, although it wasn't all that great.
The first ff game, square used all it's resources and that is why sakaguchi called it final fantasy as he thought it would be his last game.
The fact that it was a success ment that since the game had no way to continue they could do what they want. Bar the actual direct sequels ff is always a separate story and game each one tries to do something different and even though sometimes it doesn't work I commend them for being brave enough to try something new each time and that is why I think ff should not be on the list.
it am truly tired of these shit articles being approved...
It seems every generation you get that 1 or 2 games that sell a lot, then everyone starts this "follow the leader" formula till something else comes out that does better. I remember in the 80's it was platformers, then in the 90's it was fighters and beat em ups, then RPG's, then 3D platforming, etc. Currently its 1st/3rd person shooters with the occasional oddball game that a lot of gamers find "good," which is nothing but a studio that wants to throw something out there and see how the community handles it.
If anything, I'd say "Top genre's that need a break" or "Genre's that need a big overhaul." If I had it my way, I'd time warp back to 1991 and remind gamers "This is when gaming took off and evolved into a more positive hobby."
Utter crap.
