And Ubisoft lived up to the hype, with masterful demonstrations, playable demos and jaw-dropping visuals that took new lead Connor away from the forests of the frontier and placed him first in a revolutionary city, and then - beautifully - on a boat, in the middle of the not-so-tranquil Caribbean Sea.
