Syndicate deserves more sales, EA should adjust prices accordingly
Earlier today Edge reported that Syndicate sold an estimated 150,000 copies worldwide, despite being a multi-platform release. In the grand scheme of things, a first person shooter published by EA should have sold more – a lot more.
(EA, PC, PS3, Syndicate, Xbox 360)
It was a cool game that I wanted to buy. Then I saw the 60 dollar price tag and really thought about it.....if it were released at 40 dollars, maybe 50 dollars, I would have bought it.
Blame this or that, games are outright expensive and not EVERY game NEEDS to be 60 dollars......
Bought it. Didn't play it yet. ABout 10 games still in shrink wrap. I hope this summer brings it down to 6 or 7. But then they release stuff like Darksiders - which is a must-buy...
exactly, Starbreeze are stupid for even signing a contract with EA to make this game, I saw it b4 release, & and wasnt impressed with it at all, despite the saturation in the shooter market. I think EA was tryna make a quick buck & didnt allow Starbreeze the time or creative control, to make this game a really good one. I dont buy EA published games, I know the way they think & operate, so im not one it surprised at the outcome, just too bad Starbreeze didnt see it b4 they signed the contract, figuring, with there reputation, they would get more respect from EA, Nope, that only occurs , when youve established your OWN IP's, & have demonstrated that you can do
huge million dollar sellers, even then, EA has there own AGENDA, just look at Bioware, theyve never been the same since joining the evil empire EA.
I thought it was a damn good game. the co-op was competivie . the story line was a bit exciting and challenging at times. the guns behaved well . graphics were up there . animations were solid like a mirrors edge. I think starbreeze did well they just hit the market at the wrong time.Ea used em as a shovel-ware
edit: Dang its 20 dollars.

Maybe it didn't sold a million but I'm pretty sure more than 150.000 over all three platforms
