Mariel Hurd takes a look at Sony's latest innovation - an interactive storybook - and asks why it's just a tool to expand the Harry Potter universe.
if you watched E3 you would see that Sony intend to use for education. another pointless question
If it will or won't, I have no idea. But why do Sony products always come under the WEIRDEST critisims. This as relevant as saying..."Why doesn't Halo have an option to teach you facts about outer space".
Well GG and Maria, I can see your points of view. I'm goin' to go out on a limb as to why it's not "being used to educate" and say...because it hasn't been released yet. Weird stance to take I know. Given the current state of journalism I thought I'd throw in something factual. Just to muddy the waters. ;)
I'm guessing since it's suppose to be an interactive book that it's suppose to be educational.
Another hate question/article its is only reason
Watch e3. Harry potter is just the first working book they had. Educational games are slated to be made for the wonderbook.
Harry potter being the first working book they had at E3? What a shame.
cause its not out yet.
Honestly, if I had this in elementary school I'd never pay attention to anything else. Would also require giving every student a PS3 and screen to use in class, which no school is crazy enough to do.
Who said it wasn't going to be? I mean the one working book they had was made for families and kids, let alone fans of Rowling.... This will for sure be used for education if Sony is at all smart about it. Doesn't mean EVERYTHING needs to be for little kids, it just means they need to exploit that possibility. Like I've said before. It's not about what we saw, its about what we will see thats so exciting about Wonderbook......
Stupid site name, stupid question. This was a collaboration with Sony, this is actually a pottermore project. Sony supplies the tech, Pottermore provides the content. Go write to J.K. Rowling about why her company chose this instead of an educational game.
Sony already announced at E3 that their will be educational books for it.
Why doesn't JK Rowling write educational material?
let them finish it first, i'm sure they'd love to have it in classrooms.
