Dead or Alive 5 is the first main Dead Or Alive game to be released on a PlayStation console since Dead or Alive 2 was released on the PS2 nearly twelve years ago. Since then the series’ director, and the person responsible for some of Dead or Alive’s signature features (challenging fast paced combat and scantily clad ladies) Tomonobu Itagaki, has left the series for pastures new.
