Why Gravity Rush is the Vita’s first big surprise

TVGB: "Even for someone that’s been looking forward to it for a while, Gravity Rush seemingly comes out of nowhere. It would be easy to mistake this for a straight-forward action title with an engaging twist, but spending a few minutes with the game reveals it to be much more than that. There’s a sprawling open world to explore with a navigation system that evokes an uplifting (pun intended) sense of freedom, a unique protagonist that drives an intriguing plot, and a visual and audio flair that reminds you of the charm that eastern developers can deliver when on their A-game." (Gravity Rush, PS Vita)

I managed to order a Vita with a memory card & Mortal Kombat for £160 which I thought I couldn't miss out on even though I must say I haven't been impressed by anything ive seen on it but thought it was worth a punt.

I haven't played Gravity Rush so forgive me but from what i've seen it certainly doesn't look like my type of game & doesn't look very appealing to me. In fact it comes across as one of these crazy Japanese 'fad' games that people grow out of after a month.

...But I will definitely get the demo when my Vita arrives & give it a try as ill be desperately be looking for games for it & im hopeing that im totally wrong & love the game but well see.

Not my type of game! Played the demo! It was ok but nothing to jump for joy about, I'll pass! Bought metal gear hd collection instead!

Because it's the only game that actually makes you feel like the vita is an independent console and not the PS3's little brother?

ANOTHER AAA VITA EXCLUSIVE BUT...... Does this game get too repetitive after some time?

It doesn't. There are a few reasons I stop playing: if I'm at work, if I'm asleep, and... well, that's really it.
