1 Halo 4 X360 21 WEEKS 42,318 - 378,083
5 Call of Duty: Black Ops II X360 22 WEEKS 24,495 - 159,349
9 Call of Duty: Black Ops II PS3 22 WEEKS 16,561 - 109,356

And people say Halo isn't relevant anymore. Had a larger weekly change and a higher overall pre-order count than the Xbox and PS3 versions of Black Ops II combined.

Like pre orders mean that much though. Ive probably pre ordered 2 games in my lifetime.
nukeitall  +   987d ago
Pre-orders are indictive of demand. You would think they scale linearly on all platform/games. So no, it isn't irrelevant.

However, vgchartz numbers might be irrelevant, but they tend to be in the ballpark if it is a big park.

Still Halo 4 is going to be huge!!! The graphics alone is to die for! XD

You will see how much them preorder numbers change for CoD on the last 4 weeks.
DasTier  +   987d ago
Duh, most games preorder numbers will increase rapidly as the release dates get closer.

1 for the ability to play the game the day it's releAsd.
2 to get the bonus content included in many preorder packages.
AdmiralSnake  +   987d ago
To be fair black ops 2 preorders haven't been on the chart as long as Halo 4. Watch in the coming weeks how it will probably pubstomp halo 4.

Oh god please No! Let's just STOP this non-sense right now.

don't start fanboy wars over pre-order numbers.

Most are 2013 aren't they, check back after Christmas, I'm sure they'll get a couple preorders lol
nukeitall  +   987d ago
They are coming!

MS abandoned gamers! Jump ship to PS3. Soon you can enjoy Last Guardian and The Agent! /s

PS3 exclusives this year seem to be mostly unimportant games like All Star and smaller games. There is a drought for the PS3 this year with no heavy hitter. Black Ops will be this years best sold game on PS3 again.

Halo 4 out-pre-ordered every franchise on that list combined except for Assassin's Creed 3, in which case it was only 1594 pre-orders away from doing so.

Damn.

Halo 4 is way up there, and it passed Black Ops? Very impressive.
