I daresay the 3DS library is living mostly of its star power (Mario, Resident Evil, Pokemon) from preexisting franchises; ironically, similar games on the Vita get lambasted as watered-down ports.
People LOVE to compare the two systems, but not at comparable moments. They want to compare the Vita now to the 3DS now, instead of the 4 month-old 3DS. If we're talking libraries, there's no comparison. If we're talking hardware, there's no comparison. Not that the 3DS is bad, but comparing market lifetime points side-by-side, it doesn't really stand up to the Vita.

People do this "mistake" all the time. I bet even they know they do it on purpose. They just don't want to admit it. It was the same with PS3 vs X360 in 2006-2008. After that the main point of discussion became zalez!!!!! Their win-by-default ended so they changed the subject. It only used to be "all about the games" right?
Just like now when PS3 is going to finally pass x360 in zalez it's going to be something else again. I bet they'll say it's all about teh nextgenz. This switch happen 1 console prior to PS3 passing X360 in lifetime sales. We've seen it all before.
The girl with the machine gun penis was pretty ridiculous but the next 30 seconds being filled with nothing but Dead or Alive boob physics and closeups made me laugh pretty hard.
