Gravity Rush Review | gamrReview

gamrReview: "There is an art, it says, or rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." (Gravity Rush, PS Vita) 8.4/10

Nice art style.

was really hoping this would be a 9+ kinda game. Oh well, on to the Vita's next big exclusive hope for AAA reviews: Soul Sacrifice.
trunkswd  +   368d ago
8.4 is still a good score. Definitely one of the best titles on the Vita to date.
Lord_Sloth  +   368d ago
OH MY GOD IT'S NOT A 9!!! YOU SHOULD AVOID THIS TERRIBLE GAME!!!

*watches my brother spend another 14 hours on it*

exactly
since i got it i just dont remember having any other game, is just too good to play something else.

great game, reviews are fair on their own way but the score does not describe the EXPERIENCE!

@torillian

So a no name site gives it less than a 9, and the game sucks? You must pass on some great games relying on these "click me" sites.
This is one of the best action adventure games of the past years. I have no idea what you're on about.

It's not a sports team. It's a video game.

Scores are in no way the definitive and correct indicators. Hands-on experience is what counts and you should give the game a try before writing it off.

Totally agreed, except the part about combat. I'm just not seeing how people think the combat isn't great.

Yay for the Hitchhiker's Guide quote.
Spectator1  +   368d ago
Haha, was wondering if anyone'd spot that ;)

I'd love to play an open world Gravity Rush, ala GTA but with gravity instead of guns.
murkster-dubez  +   368d ago
what? gravity rush is open world.

It's called Gravity Rush...

i see the reviews of this game and wonder how there are so many 9.5s and 10s
when this gem is scoring 8s and 7s.

im so glad i picked up this game day one and have not been able of putting it down

is pure enjoyment, great art and vision. it has an IDENTITY!!!!! something that so many "AAA" barely have

whatever reviews, if u have a vita and dont get this game u missing out on something special

its a japanese game and a new ip at that.

if this came during the PlayStation's dominant years it will have a different response

in terms of originality and differentiation from other games or game play how would you rate it?
MySwordIsHeavenly  +   368d ago
It's a 10. It's blatantly a 10. If you don't see that this game is a 10 within the first half an hour of playing it, you missed the point of the game entirely!
Spectator1  +   367d ago
Your standards are kinda low if this is a 10. It's a great game, but it ain't a 10.
MySwordIsHeavenly  +   367d ago
My standards are fine. When something like this comes along, you don't mock it by picking it apart. You simply accept the new piece of art as a staple in whatever industry it may be in...and pray that another one comes along.

MSH in terms of originality and differentiation from other games or game play how would you describe GR?
