Medal of Honor: Warfighter Stole the Show at E3

StickSkills.com writes, "With the reboot of the Medal of Honor series in 2010, the first entry in the new portion of the series left quite a bit to be desired. The single player campaign was paced rather slow and had enemy AI that literally wanted to be shot, providing little resistance. While the campaign had its faults, it did provide what felt like an authentic military experience." (Medal of Honor: Warfighter, PC, PS Vita, PS3, Xbox 360)

Yeah, and Halo is the best game in the world.....sheesh, where do these game sites get this stuff from lol
Crazyglues  +   366d ago
How exactly did they steal the show? ...LoL I mean nothing against Medal Of Honor I actually plan on getting the game, but what's really special here?

It's the same engine as BF3 -Frostbite 2, yeah nothing wrong with that but what's going to make people stop playing BF3 and get this.. (Yes it's a little different)

-But not by much- hell it's just classic FPS stuff - see bad guys, shoot them, head to next area - Rinse and Repeat...

For them to steal the show I think they should have showed more of the game, more Story- take us on one of the missions.. (there is a lot you can do here but these companies are not really doing much)

Where is the hostage recuse mission Like in the movie Act of Valor - something like that would be cool.. or A multi-player mission where other players are the bad guys and instead of capture the flag we get the hostage out alive..

How about mixing up A.i. with real players where you have to take down some killers in a bank in iraq or Russia or China that ends on the highway in a high speed chase down the main street..

I just feel like these companies are really not trying that hard, it will sell but it could do real numbers if they would just put in the work..

I hope it's good.. we shall see...

Bring back Socom

Below me..

I wouldn't say flopped, Socom still logs more players online than any other Sony exclusive. Blame Sony's crappy marketing and PSN outage for ruining Socom 4.

yeh. look what happened to socom when it did come back....flopped.
Nitrowolf2  +   366d ago
Yea Socom 4 was disappointing
That is why Sony should bring an HD collection with Multiplayer function.
PoSTedUP  +   365d ago
that's why they canned Zipper, slantSix is legit socom FTB3 and Socom confrontations were both really good socom games (for the fans). socom4 is too different, socom Con. kept it real and is what the fans wanted. i hope Slant Six keeps making socom or at least a socom knock off for the ps3 or vita. i was a huge fan of Zipper too, such a shame. SlantSix FTW.
Unit 13 demo was ok i guess, but nothing really great considering Zipper (imo) are supposed legends.

As a rule, no modern military FPS can "steal the show" these days.
Hal0_0_EmElG  +   366d ago
Unless it's on PC then it automatically wins.

Arma 3 =)
MysticStrummer  +   365d ago
Arma 3 didn't win. Watch Dogs, Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls, Assassin's Creed 3... those games won because those are the games most people are talking about after the show. Modern warfare shooter fans are a niche group, and no CoD isn't part of that group because despite the subtitle Modern Warfare, the gameplay bears little resemblance to modern warfare. Medal of Honor: Warfighter stole nothing except time that could have been spent on something else.

"Medal of Honor: Warfighter Stole the Show at E3"

Well then The Last Of Us & Watch Dogs need to call the police, because they've just been robbed by some "Been there, Done that Game" thats not going to look or run that good on consoles.

I don't think so since no one is even really talking about it.

If any casual gamer were to see the footage, they would think it's Call of Duty.
Tikicobra  +   366d ago
I kid you not, while watching the footage for this game during the press conference, I was about ready to turn off the TV. From the look, to the linearity, to the whole "breach through the door and shoot guys in slow motion" mechanic, this is a complete carbon copy of Call of Duty. Between this and Dead Space 3 pretty much being an all out action game, I lost a lot of faith in games this year.

I thought it was a joke until I read the article...they were serious.

Medal of Honor didnt steal the show!! If you ask me Watch dogs did...suprized me, and blew my mind...Halo 4 was also way cooler!

Yeah right. I almost fell asleep on the demo.

Hate all you want, I really liked what I saw. And everyone I know who's seen that gameplay really liked it too. Honestly though, nothing stole the show for me. Beyond and The Last of Us had me the most excited because I know I'll be able to play them the way I saw them. I don't have a high end PC or even a mid-range rig so I wont be able to play Watch Dogs the way I saw it. Although I agree that it was impressive.
Summons75  +   366d ago
I wouldn't say stole the show but I was really impressed with it, I also highly enjoyed the first one. Other thing shone more at E3 though Watch Dogs, Beyond, Last of Us, Halo to name a few.
Gamer-Z  +   366d ago
FPS wise i think Halo 4 took it, that game just looks amazing. As for the worst FPS showing i know i'm going to get a bunch of hate for it but COD Black Ops 2. The Last of Us looks freaking crazy it definitely stole the show.
Zha1tan  +   366d ago
Another brown boring modern day military shooter done in a style that makes even michael bay cringe.

Somebody wake me up when shooters are going to do something different than try to emulate films.
bobtheimpaler  +   365d ago
I don't know how this can steal the show.

There's nothing wrong with FPS games. It's just that the genre is overcrowded and with many mediocre games that often overshadow better fps games from smaller/ newer franchises.

From the gameplay shown, nothing stood out in terms of AI/ physics or anything. It all looked heavily scripted. I am interested in the game but I see no reason to buy this at full price and will likely pick up something else.

that tard journalism wannabe wish that to be true

sry nap but the last of us was nominated bestgame of e3 by most of the gaming site, with close behind watch dogs...
greenlantern2814  +   365d ago

games like Medal of honor, Halo, Call of duty, and even God of war while all good games and will sell well they have been done well for years and every one knows what they are going to get
