Are games conventions losing their way?

Now the E3 hype has dispersed, Techtroid investigate whether or not games conventions are losing their way within the industry. (E3, Gamescom 2012, Industry, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)

I think things might pick up again during 2013 - 2014 when next gen talk is no longer speculation. :)
