The Coolest Aliens in Gaming

Aliens are some of the most beloved characters and enemies in gaming. Whether they're on our squad or taking over the world, we can't get enough of alien races and their different abilities. Cassidee at Leviathyn.com takes a look at some of the most beloved alien races in gaming. (Dead Space, Destroy All Humans!, Gears of War, Halo, PC, PS3, Resistance: Fall of Man, Space Invaders, Xbox 360, XCOM: Enemy Unknown)

Wait, the Covenant? Really? I thought they were awful. It was so hard to play Halo because I always felt -terrible- about killing all of those brightly-colored, happy children who seemed to bleed in pastels. That giggling. Easily the least threatening alien this side of Alf.

And, honestly, I can't get behind most of the other listees here. Space zombies, really? Cluster of pixels in the vague shape of a flying saucer, really? Maybe if this was a list of most "iconic," gaming aliens, sure, but best?

Character counts, goddammit.
