"While poor gamers in the US of A have been left to the wolves regarding the pervasive always-on DRM in Diablo III, other consumers around the world are getting help from consumer advocacy groups including some extremely stiff stipulations being placed on Blizzard from both Germany and France."
i.e. Battlefield 3 on PS3 - over 3 months to get working comms for a game that is designed around squads.
A Further 3+ months to fix input lag - trying to play an fps game when you can get delays up to a quarter controller turn when aiming was a joke.
And what did those pre-order purchasers get? was it an apology or some extra bonus??? No they got stiffed from paying top prices and further by having to pay for the Karkand map expansion twice if they want the premium upgrade.
I really wish gaming websites weren't always praising Diablo 3 and were instead coming down on Blizzard for taking away consumer rights. So much fail.
They dont recognize shady business at all, or they dont care and continue to encourage it.
Money talks.
Playing a FPS without sound is not acceptable.
and before anyone starts i boycotted this game because of the always online DRM, so should have others, it is blizzards game if they want it ONLINE all the time that's up to them not retarded gamers that think blizzard owe them something
If they want bitch about something, there is plenty
Server Lag
Hacking of accounts and the NEED to purchase dam authenticator
a pay to win Auction house in which blizzard control the Loot drops
Error codes galore
They can basically dictate how many items are worth selling for $250, which means they'll always be taking 15% cuts from specific item drops. It's kind of like someone taking control of Wall St. and fixing stock volumes to alter the pricing.
I can't believe there isn't any sort of outside regulation on that. Blizzard is making money with real-world trading by tertiary price fixing.
