Nerd Reactor gives you their opinion on EA's extended E3 gameplay demo. Do fans have something to worry about regarding the new co-op mode? They detail the new necromorphs and moves (cover, rolling). They also reveal some of the things we can probably expect from the latest game when it launches.
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
when ME3 released and fans was complaining about the ending. they were labelled "ENTITLED" whinny baby. now i see article like these from gaming site about what they want to see in games or what gamers want and think is this not the definition of an "ENTITLED WHINNY GAMER" or does that only apply to fans feedback on a bioware game?
dead space isn't really a survival horror game anyway. it's just an action game that tries to have some startling moments. it's not scary though. especially the 2nd one. so how will having co-op change anything? a good co-op game can still have startling moments...look at L4D.
I liked a LOT the first Dead Space ( surely one of the best games this generation for me ), the second less because of the feeling of a too large recycling of the first title took me from start to finish ( and the multiplayer was total garbage* )
I LOVE coop games but I think a coop-Dead Space should have been a spin-off.
Dead Space 3 will probably be dissapointing to me :/
EA and your stupid ideas ...
*side note: when I told that was going to be like this because Dead Space has -and should not have- nothing to do with MP, and that the MP imposition would have ruined the core of the title, I have got a lot of disagree ... :/ see now?
You need to make som adjustments for a game like dead space. Play only at night, with minimum ambient light and a decent surround sound system. If you let the atmosphere get to you, youre gonna have a great time. Lots of chills for me during both games.
But of course you can be cynical and play it like an average shooter and bash it on the forums.
Im not decided on the coop thing, though. Can be fun, also can harm the atmosphere.
The bottom line is, Visceral Games did a great job twice already. Cant wait for the third game.
Firstly this game is suddenly receiving a lot of attention which is exactly what EA wanted. Secondly they are changing the genre of the game by making it more of an Action-Thriller rather than the Horror game it started as. I loved DS and DS2 and found it to be truly unique throughout all consoles this generation. However we are now in an era where no matter how good the game is, if it doesn't generate the kind of revenue that makes EA's time worthwhile they will either scrap it or change it to suit a wider audience. In this case I wont judge until i actually play the game, but already i sense that this will not grip me as much as the original 2.
