Kotaku: The Surprisingly Simple Story Behind What Might Be The Last Great Wii Game

Kotaku: "So it was a pleasant surprise when the Mario makers announced that much-anticipated Japanese role-playing game The Last Story would come to the U.S. this summer thanks to friendly publisher XSEED, the localization house that helped bring over some great Japanese games like Half Minute Hero and The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.

But how'd that happen? Why did Nintendo suddenly decide to let another publisher take its property?" (Nintendo, The Last Story, Wii, XSEED Games)

Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword was the last Wii game i played, and oddly it was better then anything i played on my PS3 or Xbox 360 for awhile. Amazing game.

From last year it was my personal GOTY out of

Batman Arkham City
Portal 2
Skyrim

The wii have quite the gyms that ps3/360 people really miss out.

Especially traditional JRPG games.
In my opinion if you didn't play Xenoblade, you didn't play JRPG this gen.

Until a few days ago I had just a PS3 which I buy especially to play a lot of high quality JRPGs like I did with PSX & PS2 but things didn't go as I want them to..

It appears that the last & most advanced PlayStation is the worst console of this generation for JRPG fans, the only JRPG we ever saw was some mediocre ones & some ultra-fail FF titles.

So after my huge disappointment for many years & when I saw my 2 most favorite JRPG creators the ppl behind FFVII & Xenogears to prepare their new masterpieces for Wii I knew that I must get one no matter what & that's what I did.

At this moment I am close to 100 hours on Xenoblade & I am sure that I am not even close enough to the end as this game have ridiculous explorations & the most crazy open environments I have ever see on any JRPG I have play, the story so far is TOP NOTCH the soundtrack SUPERB & the gameplay BRILIANT!

Xenoblade is by far the best JRPG I have play the past 10 years and the title of "JRPG of the decade" is well deserved, The Last Story is next! ^__^

operation rainfall saved the last year of the wii. xenoblade is fantastic, this will be amazing, and rumor is that pandora's tower will be available for pre order on launch day of the last story.
