Nobody Really Thought Lara Would Get Raped...Did They?
With the reaction from some pissed off gamers, you'd think they expect Lara to be fighting off half-naked men with every step.

This article is so true. If things go any farther then what was seen at E3 i dont think i will be able to play the game. A situation like that shouldnt be in any game at all

really? so in the world of video games, we should just pretend that things like rape simply do not exist? and we should just assume that a woman put in a situation of seclusion in a third world environment, surrounded by militants could not possibly encounter such dangers?
I cannot even begin to describe the naivete and artistic cowardice of the notion that any concept should be off limits. especially if some one is trying to make a narrative with a gritty, harsh tone.
if people cant handle a gritty, hard-hitting game, and would rather prance and somersault around as an invincible, spunky sex symbol, than that is their decision.
personally, I think this game is looking to be the best of the franchise. It actually offers a protagonist with an arc, who undergoes legitimate struggle. Lara Croft as a survivor is a hell of alot more compelling than Lara Croft as a big breasted caricature.
Im glad that they arent watering down the harshness and violence in order to cater to people who seriously lack vision and a spine. This is the best possible turn that the franchise could take.
I'm starting to think all this "outrage" is made up. With the Hitman trailer and now this I'm starting to sense some weird PR stunt.
Also, Lara Croft has never been a very good character. TnA is what made her popular. Now people are crying foul for toning down her sexuality and adding depth to the character.
No topics should be off limits, as long as there is a well thought out narrative to back it up. Try to be deep and insightful with abysmal writing and you end up with the ME3 ending.

now ive just recently read in that there are websites for people who enjoy seeing people get murdered and tortured from the.murderers themselves who still are getting away. they tie up a person, sedate them, stab them billions of times and cut off their head then dismember their limbs and rape the body then eat it.
i just saw that shit yesterday and god damned i wish i didnt. people enjoy watching that shit and those who participate in uploading that are those who are all family men such as parents who sit at the table with their four kids and then afterwards go on the computer to find and upload more murder vids onto their website. arent they afraid for themselves and their family and kids that this possibility is on their family also? disgusting.
the movie SAW was almost exactly what was what ive seen before i saw the actual murders being uploaded. now murder is getting even more accepted into a whatever thing soon by becoming publicly enjoyable to watch because more people will be watching this.
soon after, more people will come out of the closet and start doing the same as they see on video.

kids have access to internet and 3/4s have unsecured no parental controled internet. at around 12-13 theyll be watching this shit and theyll begin to mimick as they see on what they watch because the parents find it also acceptable.
some will think its terrible but a small margin enjoy seeing the disgusting acts and half of that small margin enjoy killing animals at a small age and carry it on to adulthood.
with internet and technology, its easy to upload rape and murder now. EASY.
watch what you accept now. we may all be in a world of increased psychopaths
