Top 5 PlayStation 3 Exclusives of E3 2012

From the feature top list:

"Sony dedicated this year’s E3 convention to the core gamers with unveiling Beyond: Two Souls and delivering more of The Last of Us (from Naughty Dog) goodness. Sony had a game heavy show, quality stuff (not counting third party games)...

The top 2 are reasons to buy a PS3, if you don't have one already!

Not bashing any game, but I'm just curious...

Why is it that when a game comes out on the PS3 and Vita, it's a PS3 exclusive, but when a game comes out in the X360 and Windows it's not a X360 exclusive ?

BitbyDeath2103d ago

I think you meant to say a Sony exclusive vs an MS exclusive.

Exclusives are based on platforms and MS does not own the PC platform. Where as Sony does own the Vita and PS3 platforms.

If you based it on Software then you'd be saying X game is exclusive to (insert developer) where as people say X game is exclusive to (insert platform holder)

Hope that makes sense XD

DA_SHREDDER2103d ago

no matter what version you get, it's on a Sony platform. So um, now what's the argument here?

Last time I checked "Exclusive" meant can't be played anywhere else but on the platforms of one company. Most of so called 360 exclusives (Left 4 Dead, Splinter Cell Conviction etc.) were released on PC, MAC, and Onlive. Microsoft doesn't own any of those except Windows lol.

fermcr2103d ago

No. Exclusive means that a game can ONLY be played in one platform. If it can be played in more then one platform, it's multi-platform. A game that's on PS3 and PSV is a multi-platform game, and not a exclusive.

True, I was mistaken. But Sony owns PSVITA and PS3 so that's what makes them "Playstation Exclusive". "Mulitplat" as well? Yes, but still "Playstation Exclusive". Microsoft doesn't own PC, Mac, or Onlive. So most of their games aren't "Xbox Exclusive". If God of War 3 and Uncharted 3 were released on PC, Mac, and Onlive than they wouldn't be "Exclusive to Playstation" now would they?

Left 4 Dead
Xbox Exclusive? No. Multiplat? Yes

Warrior's Lair
PlayStation Exclusive? Yes. Multiplat? Yes

Great list but personally we need some God of War as a honorable mention as well.

tarbis2103d ago

God of War should be in that list... -_-
