X360: GTA V skipped 2012′s E3, but that doesn’t mean we don’t know when it’s going to be released. We talk to to the top industry insiders to find out when GTA V will hit the shelves…
(Grand Theft Auto V, PS3, Rockstar Games, Xbox 360)
I agree. How can a title question if the title has been revealed if they are asking industry people. They are not going to know so how can it be revealed.
@big-bertha - Probably because your comment has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Not only that, but Sony won't have anything to do with including Move support. That would be Rockstar's department since, you know, THEY'RE MAKING THE GAME. That statement alone pretty much places your comment into the same junk pile as sending a letter to a fan site asking why they didn't include X feature when making the game.
As for the release date, while I'm certainly anxious to find out when it will be coming, I'm really starting to hate every GTA V related article that gets spewed out because they are all desperate attempts to get traffic and nothing more.
I guess I'm kinda fuzzy on what the problem was with Red Dead Redemption as well. I bought it for the PS3 and loved it. I also have it for the 360 since my friend who gave me his 360 after my second one got the RROD also gave me his game collection, and that was included. I've played it on both systems and I don't notice a difference, other than the fact that I hate the 360 analog stick layout and made a complaint about it almost once an hour while playing.
That's funny because the PS3 version of GTA 4 played and looked just fine. You better hope they don't make the game with to much content, otherwise you'll have to swap disc when you cross a bridge.
Plus lazy developers ported the RDR over to PS3. We all know what a game can really look like when it's made for the PS3 not ported. Look at FF 13.
wow what a trolling fanboy.....what was wrong with red dead on ps3 i never had any problems...also i dont like the idea of paying microsoft extra money to give me the same exclusives every year
@NC The only problem was instead of using the same AA technique as the 360 version they lazily blurred the whole picture which made no sense IMO. I HATE LAZY PORTS.
I just can't see GTA being released this year. Not enough has been released about it. I know Rockstar are tight lipped about many of their productions but apart from a trailer not much on GTA has been put out to us. I think summer 2013. Would be a nice spot and build a lot of excitement for fans.
GTA V Release Date Revealed? New info coming soon? Character list leaked? Map leaked? Possible release date? Take2 at Gamescom? Excuse me, authors of these articles but you are dumb as hell. Can't you just STFU until Rockstar Games release OFFICIAL information? Oh...I'm kidding. You are super dumb /trollface.gif/
No information besides a trailer that may have all been all cinematic, 1 sentence of info released with former, and the confirmation of crews. It has been 7 months.
GTA 4 first trailer 7 months prior to First release date. First written hands on 3 months prior to release, at E3 07. GTA 4 info was released steady into E3 07, but it was pushed back last minute. Read dead Redemption first trailer, and Hands off gameplay written preview 10 months prior to release. First Hands on written preview 3 months prior.
I highly doubt this game will release in 2012. Spring 2013 seems more likely. They would've been promoting it a bit more if it was releasing this year.
Let's see one main GTA game per generation. GTA 3 was followed by two episodes: GTA: VC and GTA SA that utilised the same graphics engine of GTA 3. GTA IV was followed by two episodes this generation.
GTA V will more than likely be an early release with the next generation consoles that will utilise the latest technology. Do not be surprised this game gets delayed until late 2013 or early 2014 to come out on the Next Box and PS4.
GTA V is a system selling title and it will help the sales of PS4 and Next Box just like GTA IV helped PS3 and X360 sales this generation and GTA 3 helped PS2 sales last generation.
From an economic rationalist point it would make no sense to release a new GTA game so late in the console cycle. GTA is a proven system selling franchise.
You do realise that they want to sell as many copies of the game as posible? It's a system seller but not that much of a system seller for a brand new next gen system that has only just come out and why would they care if its a system seller? They make money from how many games are sold and they'll do a lot better job doing that on current gen systems.
I've seen that and in no way is that going to be a GTA killer. They both might be open world action games but in the end they're nothing a like with the story.
GTA IV released April 2008. GTA IV Episodes released in 2009: Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned. Both the two Episodes and GTA IV are available on a complete edition of GTA IV.
GTA IV has sold over 22 million on the X360 and PS3 combined with both selling over 10 million apiece and stil selling. GTA IV is one of the most definitive games of this generation bar none.
Previously GTA III released in 2002. So a 2014 release date looks likely for GTA V and maintain the 6 year waiting period between the main line GTA games.

ps3 handled it well for it to be a port though
gta 5 being developed on both systems in parallel

R* will release a new trailer when they are ready and they feel there title is as good as they can make it.
thats what i love about R* they take time to create a title and wont just put any old shit out!
It will come when they are ready. I'd rather they take their time than rush it.
Let's call it 14 May.
There, now you have an actual release date. Happy?
GTA V released date speculated!

Blame the sites fishing for hits with rumors and speculation.
I'll concede that point. Some official info from Rockstar would be optimal.
There. How did I know? It's a R* game.
