GamesBeat writes: The 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was the year of dubstep. We heard a lot of wobble bass wub wub wubbing the walls of the showroom floor and press conferences. (Borderlands 2, Culture, DmC: Devil May Cry, E3, Forza Horizon, NBA Ballers Beats, ShootMania Storm)

Back in the 8-bit and 16-bit eras, this kind of sound in a game was more commonly known as a sound chip failure.
