Couldn't agree more. When I heard the news I almost cried. Let's hope the 'simplified' system is much better than before...

Its like Im getting less interested in the Wii U with each passing day

Nintendo is doing a great job at trying to turn me away from their difficult to justify a buy console.

So far, I have seen no games I want, barely any hardware to be excited about, and then they try hard to turn me away from their online network.

If it ain't $300 or less, I ain't buying!!!

Well at least shorten them.

problem I believe people had with the Wii version, I told Fils-Aime, is that adults who owned the system felt like, hey, if I'm an adult, treat me like an adult and let me friend people I've met online without having to call a person and exchange a code or something like that. "Agreed," Fils-Aime said.

"You feel like those people will be happier?" I asked.

"Yes, they will be.".

Jesus Christ, Nintendo. It's like you're TRYING to shake off hardcore gamers.

WeskerChildReborned2011d ago

Why couldn't they just have a simple "add gamertag"? This is kinda a turn off for the Wii U.

honestly i don't see how 3ds improved friend codes sure you only need one fc per system but then there are communities to join them you have to input another code each community has a different code and each game has separate communities

The only real difference between that and something like your brawl friends list is the size is infinite.

Khordchange2011d ago

Why exactly do they do codes anyway?

Y_51502011d ago

I think it's more secure or something like that.

TheController2011d ago

I was going to get one, but after reading this, assuming that it's true, I def won't get a WiiU if it's friend system is anything remotely like the Wii's pile of dog shit friend code garbage.

Maxned2011d ago

When Iwata showed off the WiiU the day before the press conference, I just thought "DAY ONE BUY!"

Now every day that goes by I move further away from that thought. God damn.
