Call of Duty Black Ops 2 on Wii U According to the latest Nintendo Gamer magazine, Activision is treading Nintendo gamers with their very own version of Black Ops 2.
If true then why in gods pyjamas did they not show this at e3. NINTENDOOOOOOO!!
It's becoming pretty obvious that Microsoft paid Activision for E3 Exclusivity. What else could explain the complete lack of CoD for Ps3/WiiU? People put too much stock in E3, and Microsoft knows it.
This is the original source (by the way a neogaf member so.....) "There's a new issue of Nintendo Gamer that has a whole preview section for Black Ops II with "Preview Wii U" on the top. Not sure if I can link the site as it contains a scanned image of the page. Mag error? Unintentional spilling of the beans? It'd be a pretty big mistake if it's just an error." Am I missing something here but that doesn't scream whole new version for the Wii U just that it is coming (likely anyway but considering the source not definate)
Agreed, and this is certainly not the first (or last) E3 they did the same thing. I believe even last year's E3 had CoD but only during their keynote. They love CoD so much they pay for timed exclusive DLC, it almost looks like CoD is an exclusive to them.
Come to think of it, this was probably planned months ahead of E3 and would've been AWESOME news to the Wii U fans that were really hungry for substance at the Press Conference. Could've at least announced it during one of the long Nintendoland segments.
I am pretty sure Nintendo doesn't know what a third party game is or what call of duty would mean for the console at all. Its completely understandable that they forgot to mention this. Although I wouldn't rule out Microsoft bidding against it being shown at E3 for Nintendo. Microsoft still believes its one of their first party exclusives for X360.
I knew it
Stopped playing COD after Modern Warfare 2 as I didn't like it. Played MW3 on a free weekend on Steam, didn't like that either. Black Ops 2 looks and sounds like it'll shake things up a bit. Another game is always welcome to the Wii U, looking forward to it!
Is funny how so many games are being announce for the Wii u after E3.
Nice more positive news on wiiU games
ya know nintendo, why not show this at E3....seriously, I've said this like 10 times already lol
The article is confusing.....WiiU isn't a handheld. Plus is it saying its getting the same version the vita is getting? (Assuming better visuals)
Cods coming to Nintendo's console now? Lol Nintendo universe will be an even more "colorful place when BLOPS 2 comes out.
Will they buy it?
They bought extremely bad versions of COD games on Wii, why wouldn't they buy it on the WiiU? COD franchise sold 7 million copies on the Wii according to Vgchartz, sure it sells MUCH more on x360/PS3, but Activison oubviously made some money on the Wii. http://www.vgchartz.com/gam...
well anything over a million is a success i suppose.. wii also has 90+ million units out there & most M rated titles dont sell well
Because M rated titles were gimped at small resolutions and bad graphics. Most M rated titles bleed new graphics or at least modern era graphics. Wii's graphics held them back from doing anything remotely impressive. Some did hold their own on the system though. It would be nice in 2013 to see a few of those revived.
Tagging something as "rumor" shouldn't give one free rein to make sensationalist headlines. Is it coming 100%, or is it a rumor? As no confirmation from a reliable source has been given, we cannot be totally sure and the headline should better represent this. I still see this happening, and we have been told by Nintendo reps(Scott Moffit, I believe) to expect more announcements.
Why is this a surprise? The Wii and DS got a Call Of Duty as well.
It wasn't the same experience on the Wii. The way this headline and "article" are worded makes it seem as if the same thing is happening again. The WiiU will get its own type of Call of Duty.
Why does it say treading in the title. lol. Treating!
I thought they were saying it would be the same as PS3/360 version just handled by a different company.
Wii U should be more than ready to support BlackOps 2 as pretty much the same version, but likely with WiiU controller we see it having a few extras to benefit that new screen. Other than that its all gonna be the same.
